There are three little words most guys don't want to hear on the first date. Not those...I mean these... "knock me up."
This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick co-worker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty and charming -- and he's also a notorious commitment-phobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me.
I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three.
Right?
**** There are four words every guy wants to hear on the first date -- "your place or mine?"
When my hot-as-sin co-worker makes me a no-strings-attached offer that involves her place, my place, any place -- as well as any position -- I can't refuse. Besides, I've got my own reasons to take her up on her deal even with her one BIG condition.
There's no way I'll want more from one woman than any position, any where, any night? Except . . . what if I do?
Be prepared to swoon and fan yourself from the heat! This full-length standalone contains lots of hot baby-making s-e-x, happy tears, playful jokes and a hot, swoon worthy hero you will fall madly in love with. One-click now for pure reading enjoyment!

Top Five Reasons You NEED to read The Knocked Up Plan
1. Sexy, swoon worthy hero
2. Sassy and strong heroine
3. It's sexy-and has a hell of a first kiss
4. Fun, refreshing plot
5. Lauren Blakely wrote it.
I'm always a fan of Lauren Blakely's work-her writing is my kryptonite. When I see her books on my kindle they immediately move to the top of my TBR list-and I devour them. I try to savor...but I just can't. The concept this particular book sounded so different that I was dying to get my hands on it. I wanted to see the journey these two took. As I've come to expect from Ms. Blakely this book had me laughing out loud in spots, and swooning in others. It even had me crying-more than once.
From the very first sentence I was sucked in. Nicole charmed me immediately-I adored her. I GOT her. I thought she was funny and sweet. She's a strong woman who isn't afraid to go after what she wants. Her support system is great-both family and friends-and I loved cheering her on as I read along.
Ryder. Holy sexy Ryder. I was expecting to find him fun and to fall in love with him a bit but he stole my heart. He's funny and smart but there's this vulnerable side I didn't see coming. Watching him evolve personally was incredible. He had me swooning and sighing.
Now these two together? Prepare for your kindle to melt. The spark between them quickly becomes an inferno. Their first kiss is going down as one of my top five first kisses ever written-it's that good.
But it's not all heat between them. Don't get me wrong, the sexy times are fantastic, but it's the relationship these two begin to unintentionally craft that had me grinning. Crazy fun dates, sweet little moments. The situation these two choose to put themselves in is tricky-and the author shows the balance they need to have perfectly. I haven't found another author who portrays the reality of a relationship as well as Lauren Blakely does.
I *have* to mention the supporting cast of characters here. If you've read any of this author's other books be prepared to see some past characters make an appearance. I loved seeing these characters (even if they were just briefly mentioned) and catching up with them. I literally danced in my chair when my all time favorite Lauren Blakely hero made a cameo appearance. Don't worry-If you haven't read other books it's ok-this IS a standalone.
I'd rate this book higher than five stars if I possibly could. It's just that incredible. This is a book I will read over and over. It has everything-humor, heart and heat. The characters are sexy and fun and real. Ms. Blakely has shown again why she is an immediate one click author for me and I eagerly look forward to her next book. I highly recommend The Knocked Up Plan.
I have a confession to make about this book. I am not the biggest fan of the "baby" books. In fact, I don't usually read them. I feel, and I know this is probably just me, that I want the romance to happen between the adults who choose one another, and not between 2 people who fall in love (or are brought together) for another reason. I get it, a baby is a big deal, but as I said, not a favorite trope of mine. (In case you are worried where this is going, it is ok, I promise. I gave the book 5 stars and I am picky.)
When I heard about this one, I wasn't sure how excited I was about it, as it is not my preferred trope...but, it is Lauren Blakely, and, really, she can do no wrong. So, I was excited, and I admit I was REALLY excited when it showed up on my Kindle, because new words by Lauren Blakely are ALWAYS exciting.
Wow, can she do no wrong. I am not going to say I am a fan of the "baby" book, but if they were all written like this, I would read every single one of them going forward. This wasn't a book about a baby, or even a romance about 2 characters and a baby, it was one of the most heartfelt romances I have ever read. The aforementioned 5 stars? Not enough.
Ryder, well, he is definitely on my top Blakely heroes list. Nicole picks him to be the "sperm donor" for her child, and she does it because of how great he is, that he is the whole package, sexy, smart, and a genuinely great guy. As a reader, you get to know this great guy, the guy who has been burned by love and doesn't want it back in his life, but who has such an ability to love the people in his life that your heart aches for him. You want him to get his HEA and you want him to get it in the way he doesn't think he wants, with a family with Nicole and their new addition. You WANT this for him, and when he gets it, you are just a little teary because you are more than a little in love with him.
Nicole, I loved her, although maybe not as much as Ryder does by the end. I loved her heart, I loved how important it was to her that Ryder knows she picked him for the whole package, not just the missing part she needed donated for her to have a baby. And, you love this about her. She cares, she wants him to be happy, she comes to genuinely care about him. And, without a spoiler, I absolutely love the way the ending is written. Any worries you had that these 2 were only together because of the baby? Gone...well, they already were, but if there were any worries lingering, completely gone.
In romance, it is often the woman who is a little fragile and the man who comes in and shows her all is ok, who heals her heart and makes her trust in falling in love again. But in this, Ryder is the fragile one. He wants to be in love, and he misses the idea of being in love, if he didn't, it wouldn't hurt so much that he had that, or so he thought. As often is the case, his past has colored him from moving to his future and he is now off relationships.
Nicole shows him the selfless love of a woman who wants a child, and then she shows him the love of a woman who not only loves the father of her child, but the man.
There's no way Ryder is going to be able to resist her, and he doesn't. Watching a man with such a big heart give it to a tiny baby and the woman he is meant to be with is one heck of a ride.
I loved this book and recommend it.
My chest falls. The man is known for punctuality. I scan the white bakery case and the five round iron tables, but he’s not here. When I spin around and survey the bookshelves, my heart nearly leaps from my chest.
He’s in the . . .
Oh my fucking God, he’s waiting for me in the . . .
I bring my hand to my mouth, and I want to run, to leap into his arms. When he sees me, his blue eyes twinkle with mischief.
I am a teapot about to whistle. I am a dog dancing before dinnertime.
He taps the shelves and holds up a book.
A pregnancy guide.
He’s ten feet from me. But I sprint anyway, and I grin like a fool. I stop two inches from him and clamp my hands on his broad shoulders. “Is that a yes?”
“Yes—”
I tackle-hug him before he can say anything more. I knock the breath from him in an oomph as I rope my arms around his neck and crash into him.
“But I have one condition,” he says, embracing me back.
I’m crying tears of happiness, so I don’t care. “Anything. Name it.”
“You better hear it before you agree.”
The moment screeches to a halt. He’s going to want visitation rights. He’ll want lots of money. He’ll want summers, or weekends, or evenings out.
I unwrap myself from the warmth of his strong chest and swallow. “What’s your condition?”
“I thought it would be best to present it in the form of a column.”
“A column?”
“Top five list and everything.”
I groan inside. He has five conditions? Maybe my mother was right. Maybe asking for baby-mix from someone you know is a big mistake. Anonymous donors request nothing but greenbacks.
I steel myself as he fishes in the back pocket of his jeans. The paper is square, folded in quarters. He hands it to me. “Open it.”
I unfold it then read the headline out loud. “‘Top Five Positions for Getting a Woman Pregnant’?”
I blink and stare at him. The cogs turn slowly in my brain. I part my lips to speak.
He raises a hand to silence me. “Hear me out. You explained how it worked. The room, the cup, the magazines, the videos. The whacking off in a fucking public place. The cost. But most of all . . . the wait.
You’d have to wait for an appointment for me, for the testing, for the jerking off, then for your special date with the turkey baster.” He cups my cheek. His hand is big and warm. “What if we did it the
old-fashioned way?”
