To say I have been dying to get my hands on this book would be the understatement of the year. This book is perfection!! From the moment I started reading I simply could not stop. Scoring With Him had me grinning, sighing, swooning and gave me a twist I did NOT see coming. Hands down, this is Lauren Blakely at her best!!

Scoring With Him is the first book in the Men of Summer duet. Yes, you read that right, duet!! This begins the epic story of Grant and Declan. I am absolutely in love with this world!! If you haven't read a MM romance before I urge you to start with one of Lauren's-where love is love and it's simply accepted as just that.

Grant and Declan stole my heart in this book and I'm 100% ok with not getting it back. I expected to love Grant just a smidgen more than Declan but I was wrong-I love them both equally. I have claimed them and I'm prepared to fight anyone who tries to take them away from me :)

Grant is such a sweetheart. He's smart, sexy and confident-until he has to talk around Declan. I loved watching him unintentionally flirt with his crush, then try and correct it. I loved his friendship with Reese and his support system was outstanding. He's quite the catch-no pun intended-and I couldn't help but fall for him...hard.

Declan. Oh, Declan. This guarded man just made me want to hug him. He's got an innate confidence that is just so sexy. I love his determination, his rules. And I absolutely LOVED seeing him want to break his rules for Grant. He has a vulnerable spot and I did want to hug him every single time that surfaced.

These two have a connection that is just undeniable. From the very moment they meet you can feel that spark, that WANT-even though they both try and ignore it. The flirting and banter these two was just perfection. Seeing them finally give in was SOOOO incredible. This book has one of the best first kiss scenes I've ever read-I was definitely fanning myself just from that!! Their connection is not just in the bedroom (but seriously, have a fan and batteries at the ready) and I loved seeing them balance their friendship and respect for one another with their growing feelings. I was invested in them 100%. Their love was so believable to me and I was cheering them on from the start.

The writing here is top notch. I literally could not stop reading once I started. To me, this book is a whole other level for Lauren Blakely-and that's saying something for me! I adored the supporting cast of characters here and hope to see more of them soon. There is one character though that I actually disliked-and I can say I've never disliked a character from this Author before. There are reasons for my dislike, and I won't spoil them by listing them, but I will say the behaviors of this person are 100% accurate. I'm also a sucker for all the little easter eggs Lauren gives her readers; they always make me smile.

As mentioned before, this book is the first in the Men of Summer DUET. I will tell you I gasped out loud at the conclusion of this book and frantically tried to turn the page to see what happened next. That's how engrossed I was in this book! I don't normally do cliffhangers and I'm so glad we won't have long to wait for the conclusion of this duet.

Scoring With Him is a ten star read. It has the heart, heat and humor I've come to expect from a Lauren Blakely book with something extra. This is a book I've already read again and I know I will revisit it time and again. I cannot wait to get my hands on Winning With Him to see the conclusion of this epic love story!!! Don't miss out on this book! I absolutely LOVED it and HIGHLY recommend it!!
