Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan-Release Blitz and Review

I broke her heart ten years ago and left town. She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted. But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her. *** He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history? But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up. News flash, buddy: I am over you.

I had grabby hands for this book as soon as Kendall Ryan released the blurb. A second chance romance and a sports book?! Yes, yes please. I read this in one sitting and couldn't stop smiling by the end.

I really liked and respected Jane. She's tough, loyal, smart and sweet under it all. This is a character I could absolutely see myself hanging out with and just relaxing, or cheering with at a game. There's just a girl next door vibe to her that I connected with. There was one thing I didn't love that she did-but I guess I can understand it. I won't get into it, as it's definitely a spoiler, but it was just a tad predictable for her.

Wes won me over very quickly in the book. My heart hurt for him initially, then hurt more later on, but I understood his actions and decisions. I didn't always agree with them, in fact I was REALLY wanting to shake him at one point, but I got him overall. He definitely brought the swoon factor to this book.

I felt the chemistry between these two. It made me smile to see them circle each other and watch their walls come back down. Their sexy times were hot and steamy but I loved seeing them outside of the bedroom.

The plot of this book wasn't exactly new but I liked this Author's spin on it. The one predictable moment did make me shake my head, but I did think the Author stayed true to her characters in how it was portrayed. The banter was spot on. The supporting characters were fun, and not overwhelming in the least.

This was a mostly sweet and fun second chance romance. I definitely found myself falling for Wes and cheering these two characters on. I read this in one sitting and definitely had a smile at the end. I recommend this book.
