*A contemporary romance with a little Southern drama. This is book 2 in the Bishop Brothers series. Each book features a different brother and can be read as a complete standalone. HEA guaranteed!* Not suitable for readers under 18 due to adult language and sexual content.
I actually really enjoyed the enemy-coworkers to lovers, and I thought being there for the reason they were enemies was actually kind of funny. Yes, it was a misunderstanding compounded by a prank pulled on Evan by his brother, but it worked and was realistic.
I enjoyed their chemistry, and I enjoyed that they were attracted to one another, in spite of wanting nothing to do with the other person. The attraction was not only physical, but there was a grudging at times professional respect, and a mutual admiration for the work and the experience they each brought to the job they held...even though it took a bit for them to get past the anger to see it.
There was a subplot that I was not sure needed to be in the book, and I actually thought it pulled away from the main story unnecessarily, but I was still able to enjoy the book overall.
The end of the book leads straight into the next in the series, and I admit, I am curious to see what happens next.
I recommend this title.
