Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee deliver another awesome installment of Chloe's dating life with Summer Rebound. This book had me laugh but also tugged on my heartstrings a bit as well. I am loving these books and can't wait to see what's next for Chloe.

If you haven't read Spring Fling go back and do so-you won't regret it. But Summer Rebound introduces us to Dune...hot, sexy, biker Dune. I enjoyed getting to meet him here and find out about him, though I will admit I was a bit like Chloe. Something seemed a little off but I was willing to put it aside for the fun, sexy times.

Chloe is still trying to find her place-and ignore her attraction to Austin. And I could relate to that struggle in the sense of wanting to be seen and valued in a relationship-so my heart ached for her a bit. I also wanted to dislike Austin's girlfriend since we saw her a bit more...but I just couldn't. Sigh, I need these two to figure it out!!

The writing here definitely is outstanding-these two authors are awesome alone, but together? Just fabulous. I can't wait for the next installment into Chloe's dating life. Grab this book up-you don't want to miss it!

Chloe, Chloe, Chloe...what are we going to do with you?

When we last saw Chloe, she was coming off a recent, oddly bowling related, break up. But, it's ok, she has met Dane and things are looking up...she can stop obsessing over Austin, her now roommate and start focusing on Dane, the biker accountant she just met through a blind date.

Yup, Biker accountant.

It goes...well, about as you would expect when one dates a biker accountant...really great, in the beginning but then, well, it ends.

This book was funny, in places hilarious, but it also had a lot of heart. I think because you are getting to know the characters, and Chloe feels very real and Austin is sort of perfect, and they are (at least I think so) definitely meant to be together...there's just the problem of his girlfriend, who we also get to know in this one...and we kind of like her. Or if not like her, we are at least forced to admit that while she does seem a little threatened by Chloe, her feelings are valid (Chloe IS attracted to Austin) and she isn't all that over the top in her reactions.

Unfortunately, as Coco doesn't seem to approve (and for other reasons that are too hilarious to spoil here) this relationship also ultimately ended with a break up...

I laughed. You will laugh. And I recommend this title.

She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.
