Entice Me by Kelly Elliott-Release Blast

Since the moment Kaelynn Dotson walked into my world, I haven’t been able to think, eat, or sleep. After having my heart broken by the only woman I’ve ever loved, Kaelynn has ignited something deep down inside me—a flame so hot that I cannot ignore, no matter how hard I try. I vowed to never open myself up to a woman again, but there’s something about Kaelynn that is drawing me to her. There’s just one problem. She’s hiding something from me. Trust is something I need, but when it comes to Kaelynn, all the lines seem to be blurred. I know I should take this as a warning and walk away, but for some reason, it’s only enticing me more. ~~~~~ I’m living a lie. I’m not the girl from a middle-class family in Utah like Nash thinks. I’m the heiress to a billion-dollar fortune, and that’s not what he’s looking for. He’s had that before, and it left him scarred. If the truth comes out, I’ll lose the only man I’ve ever fallen in love with . . . I’m not sure I’m willing to give him up.

Kelly Elliott knows how to draw me in. This is book two in the Austin Singles series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. Entice Me made me smile and sigh and I truly enjoyed it.

There's definitely instant attraction in this book, an instant connection. To me, the reactions to that from both Kaelynn and Nash were completely believable. That attraction was there but they are both holding things back, not quite sure if acting on that would be a good idea or not. I was right there with them for the whole ride of this book and when they had their first kiss? I may or may not have squealed.

I genuinely liked these characters, both of them. Nash is a sexy, smart and mostly level headed guy. I liked seeing him open himself back up to love after being burned by it in his past. I wanted to shake Kaelynn a couple times for trusting Nash-and honestly, some other characters-but I understand her motives. I think she's someone I would enjoy spending time with!

The supporting cast of characters are fun here. They don't overwhelm or overshadow Kaelynn and Nash. They're a tight knit group. I can't wait to see what happens for this bunch in the next book. I haven't been to either places mentioned in this book but I felt like I was transported there for the story. I was in Austin and in Utah (read the book, you'll know why I was in two places at once lol).

This book left me smiling and looking forward to the next one from this Author. I recommend this title.

I enjoy books where the tension with the couple is internal. And, this was a good one...Kaelynn and Nash are immediately attracted to one another and quickly realize that this is a relationship that they just might want to move forward with...despite the fact that he has been hurt in the past by a woman who didn't turn out to be the woman he thought she was and who ended up to not love him for him.

The problem? Nash's ex wanted him to be more successful, to be more like her friends, to be wealthy...and, as it turns out, to be more like Kaelynn. And, this is a secret that she feels she needs to keep in order to have a chance with Nash.

Expectations, and injuries from the past, are tough things to move on from. And, they are tough to let go of...even when you meet someone who makes you want to forget. This, really, is what this book is about...expectations, things that happen that you can't ignore, and things that you realize are worth risking.

Part of me thinks that the tension was a bit overwrought and that the "secret" she was keeping would not be big enough to actually cause issue in their relationship...but, at the same time, things that bother people are not always logical and don't always make total sense, so I was willing enough to believe this.

I enjoyed this title, the connection with the characters. I believed their chemistry, and I believed that they were a long term couple. I recommend this title.
