They say your first kiss should be earned. Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky. They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred. Mine were broken before we left church. They say your heart only beats for one man. Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end. I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit. Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage. They say that all great love stories have a happy ending. I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter. One kiss. Two men. Three lives. Entwined together. And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

The blurb, I think, gives a pretty good idea of the story and what you will get from the book. You have Francesca, a pampered mob princess and Wolfe, a man bent on revenge...but, polite revenge, as it needs to be the kind that doesn't interfere with his rather lofty political aspirations.
For most of the book, Wolfe is cold, driven by this need for revenge and a desire to not have anything to do with Francesca, who he is fighting his attraction for...and losing the fight. It was entertaining to watch him turn from the cold man who saw her as a transaction to the man who loves her, and would beg for her to be in his life.
There were, unfortunately, a couple of things about the pacing of this story, and the plot, that seemed out of place to me. This is billed as a romance where the heroine is torn between 2 men. And, well, she is...emotionally. But, it is clear from the very beginning that you aren't really watching a love triangle, and there is no chance she will end up with Angelo. This was so clear that, at least to me, he was almost an extraneous character. He definitely never felt more than 2 dimensional to me as I was reading, so there was a bit of a disconnect with an event later in the book that was supposed to be more than I believed it was.
I also though the ending was rushed. There were a lot of things going on with Wolfe and Francesca, and they all seemed to tie up rather quickly. Granted, there was a scene with Wolfe and her father which made it clear that things had changed and allowed the shift, but I think I wanted a little more time spent on the resolution, as it took quite a while to get there and the book felt like it left a little on the table at the end.
I enjoyed this title, even with the couple of small things I had issue with and I definitely recommend it. I found the characters to be compelling, and their stories interesting. I also was pleased with where the story ended up.

A conceited frown crinkled his mask, as if to say I was a complete and utter moron. I looked him straight in the eye. My father taught me that the best way to deal with men like him was to confront, not run. Because, this man? He’d chase.
