All Claire needed to do was sneak into his apartment and retrieve the misappropriated story before Nick, or anyone else, read it and mistook her for a creepy stalker. Although, breaking and entering probably wouldn’t convince anyone to the contrary either.
Claire was going to get the best material of her life, or end up with a restraining order. Either way, the story was getting a hell of lot more interesting.
Claire took me by surprise a bit. I wanted to like her more than I initially did, but she did grow on me. She's funny for sure, but so lacking in confidence that I truly wanted to shake her.
I really did like Nick though, and he definitely was a good book boyfriend. He's sexy, smart, and so much more humble than you'd think someone in his position would be. But it worked. He just had me smitten.
This was a fast paced romcom. The instant connection was there and it worked for these two. I believed in the two of them. Their sexy times were sexy for sure, but that's nothing new from this Author for me.
There were some things that kept this book from being rated higher for me-a couple inconsistencies here and there and honestly, I didn't love Claire. I liked her, but I didn't love her. I wanted her to be stronger for herself.
This is the 5th book in a series but it can be enjoyed as a standalone. The supporting characters were fun and not overwhelming. The pace worked well for the story. I enjoyed this book overall and would recommend it.
