From #1 NYT bestselling author Lauren Blakely comes a sexy new standalone romance!

I couldn’t have scripted a more perfect night.

For one fantastic evening, at a masquerade party in the heart of Manhattan, I’m not the millionaire everyone wants a piece of. Fine—multimillionaire. But who’s counting all those commas? Not me, and not the most intriguing woman I've ever met, who happens to like dancing, witty banter, and hot, passionate up-against-the-wall sex as much as I do.

There's no need for names or business cards. And that’s why I’m eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my huge…bank account.

Everything’s coming up aces. Until the next day when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash — a lot complicated.)

***

He's charming, brilliant, an incredible lover, and right now I want to stab fate in the eyeballs.

I've had one goal I've been working toward, and lo and behold, my mystery man is the very person who stands between me and my dream job. A job I desperately need since my hard-knock life has nothing in common with his star-kissed one.

But it’s time to put that fairytale night behind me, and focus on learning what makes him tick. Too bad it turns out his quirks are my quirks, and his love affair with New York matches mine.

And as we spend our days together, I discover something else that feels like a cruel twist of fate — I’m falling for this naughty prince charming, and that’s not an ending I can write to our story.

Five Key Takeaways from Come As You Are:

1. Flynn will have you swooning.
2. Sabrina will have you grinning.
3. Witty banter is hella hot foreplay.
4. Masquerade parties can be fun AND sexy.
5. Lauren Blakely has another hot, steamy, FUN book that is sure to be a bestseller.

So it's no secret that Lauren Blakely is my favorite author. When I pick up one of her titles I know I'm going to laugh, probably cry and I'm definitely going to swoon. I definitely laughed, sighed and had a major swoonfest going on in Come As You Are.

I adored Sabrina. She is one of my favorite female characters from this author. Sabrina is smart, sassy and fiercely loyal. I felt her struggle as she was stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place but I really appreciated how she handled the situation. I liked her sense of self, too. She knew what she wanted and worked hard for herself to get there. She is someone I liked, respected and would definitely want to hang out with.

Flynn brought the swoon to this book for me. There was something just magnetic about him; I was drawn right into him. He's smart, witty and incredibly hot. He has some trust issues-which completely make sense-and I liked seeing him understand he could trust Sabrina. I really loved seeing him put himself out there for Sabrina.

These two just about melted my kindle. From the moment they met the spark was there and it led to a flame that neither of them could put out. They tried, really they did, but that slow burn and simmer just never went away. Their sex was definitely hot and steamy. Have a fan nearby-you'll need it. But the connection between them was more than just sex. I loved every moment of them learning about one another and seeing how well they truly fit together.

The writing in this book was phenomenal. I felt like I was in NYC every step of the way with Flynn and Sabrina. If you've never been to New York City you'll definitely feel like you have been to parts of it after reading this book. The supporting characters are fun and I personally love how this author sprinkles in characters from her past books at times. It's fun to sneak peeks back into those other character's lives for a moment. That being said, this is a standalone so if you haven't read Lauren Blakely books before (though what are you waiting for????) you'll be completely fine reading this book.

I loved every moment of this book. I was completely charmed and captivated with this story. It's a unique storyline-fresh, fun and interesting. If I could give Come As You Are more than five stars I would-this book deserves it; it was the total book package for me. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it.

Come As You Are is about being accepted...exactly as you are. It's about pizza, and pineapple, keys to parks, and cupcakes and phone apps that rate sexual performance. Ok, so it really isn't about that last one...but now you are curious.

Flynn is one of the Parker twins. He is famous for being brilliant, good looking, and rich. And, he gets propositioned all the time. He can't go anywhere without someone wanting to pitch him their latest idea, even if it is not any good.

Sabrina just wants to find her place. She lost her job, and she has her chance to write for a known publisher. But, there's a conflict and she can't have both the job and Flynn.

So, Sabrina has a choice to make. She has to decide where her heart takes her, and where her mind can allow her heart to take her. Because, that is the choice isn't it? OUr hearts tell us to quit the job, date the wrong guy, take the chance on the life we want that isn't safe...but will our heads allow us to give up the safety to pick what our heart wants.

Come as you are is more than a title, it's a little bit about who they each are, they bring themselves to the new relationship, and they want to see where it goes. But, in order to do that, they both have to be willing to learn to be different people. Flynn has to learn to trust and Sabrina needs to learn to let go and allow others to be there for her.

Once they finally get to this point, the relationship is unlocked, just like Gramercy Park.

I adored this book, and I recommend it.

~FLYNN~

The door crawls shut.

Inch by inch.

A slow-mo door.

I have no patience for its theatrics. I kick it shut, eager for the next part of the evening to begin.

Her laughter sounds across the library and echoes off its dark wood shelves bursting with books. A leather couch takes center stage, flanked by a mahogany table.

“Are you in a rush to read something?” she asks coyly.

Her voice turns me on. It’s like bourbon and honey. A little throaty and husky, but with sweet undertones. Funny, how when you can’t see someone’s face—at least not all of it—your other senses heighten. Your ears work harder, homing in on the voice, or you zoom in on the eyes. Hers are warm hazel with flecks of bronze and green.

“Why, yes, I was looking for a particular book.” I stroll to the bookshelf along one wall, running my fingers across the spines, from old hardcovers like Tess of the d’Urbervilles to modern thrillers from the likes of Clive Cussler to non-fiction reads on the habits of highly effective people. “I thought if you wanted to go to the library you’d want to read. Naturally.”

“Of course. Read me a story. A bedtime story.” She leans against the wall next to a writing desk with a green lamp on it, the kind that has one of those chains you pull down to turn it on. She goes with the moment, and this night seems like role-play with her. I half want to understand who she is. But in a way, I’d rather experience everything she seems to want to give. Her body. Her mouth. Her mind. Whoever she is here in the library is as real as whoever she is behind the mask. My mission is to make sure she gets everything she wants.

I grab the nearest book and crack it open. It’s a James Patterson. “Once upon a time, there was a woman at a party who wanted to be kissed,” I say, walking to her, the pages open.

The angel raises her hands to her hair and sweeps off the headband that holds her halo. She tosses it to the desk. “That sounds like a very scintillating tale.”
