THE WRIGHT BOSS BY K.A. LINDE-REVIEW BLITZ

  TWBoss iBooks

A new stand alone office romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde... I’ve always had one rule: Don’t mix business and pleasure. But then Landon Wright comes home to his family’s construction company with a broken back and a beaten heart and ends up as my new sexy boss. As the office gets heated, I’m thinking about throwing the rulebook out the window. If only there weren’t a million reasons this could never work. We may have shared a single perfect kiss, but I can’t let our intense connection cloud my judgment. Not with everything I’ve worked for on the line. Dating your boss is so very, very wrong…even if he feels so Wright.

Landon is as amazing as I thought he was going to be. You get a little snippet of him and Heidi in the previous book, and it was enough to make you want to know what was going to happen for them.

K.A. Linde is a fairly new author to me, and this is the 2nd book of hers that I have read, and I can definitely say that I am a fan. Her writing is strong, her characters are interesting and the situations are mostly believable. There were some moments with the ex-wife that maybe were a little over the top, but at the same time, if my own personal life with an ex of my husband's were put into a novel, I am positive people would say the same about the things that happened in it.

Landon is in a tough spot. Injury issues are making his future in his career to be in doubt and his wife, whom the entire family already dislikes, is not helping. To say the least. So, the reason he ends up back home is pretty obvious. And, then there is Heidi. And their attraction is something else that he needs to figure out how to balance. Add in that he is then her boss, and working for the family construction company while he waits to see how things go with his injury, and you get a guy working in a career he doesn't want, while dealing with a difficult (again, to say the least) wife and an attraction to a woman who takes her job seriously and doesn't want to date the boss.

Don't worry, while the wife creates drama, it is not of the love triangle variety. You learn almost immediately where he is with her and their relationship.

This books was messy, like real life. But also real, like real life. And, I enjoyed it a lot.

I recommend this book.
