COLD AS ICE BY PIPER RAYNE-RELEASE BLITZ

Cold As Ice, the first in an all-new romantic series of standalones from bestselling authors Piper Rayne is LIVE!

It may be Winter Games, but the bedroom games are about to begin…

Competing in South Korea on the world stage is hard enough.

Having to spend the entire press tour beforehand with a woman who hates me?

Karma really is a bitch.

While she’s spent the last four years loathing me, I’ve spent them ignoring the guilt that gnaws at my stomach.

All Mia Salter cares about is that I’m her brother’s ex-best friend and it’s her duty to hate me. The funny thing is, I barely noticed her back when she was trying to keep up with us on the slopes. Now, as both of us prepare to go for gold, I’m seeing her in a whole different light—and it involves a whole lotta different positions.

No one said the path to the Olympics would be easy.

I'm a big fan of Piper Rayne. I always enjoy their writing style and Cold As Ice was no exception to that. As a fan of sports romances I was intrigued to see these Winter Classic games come to life with these two authors.

I liked Mia. I thought she was sassy, funny and strong. She had her reasons for acting the way she did towards Grady. But I enjoyed watching her change throughout this story-while still staying sassy.

Grady? Sexy, strong and one hell of a competitor. I think that's a really attractive trait and it worked well with Grady. To be that kind of athlete you need to have drive and passion-and Grady definitely has those. I liked him and cheered for him from the start.

The thing I love about an enemies to lovers story is watching them cross the line. I always love seeing that final straw, what it takes for them to finally get over the edge of the hate line into love. I wasn't disappointed here. I definitely felt the chemistry right away and it just grew throughout the book.

I liked the supporting characters here and will be interested to see their stories, and more of the games, unfold. I loved the setting-especially since we're coming up on the winter Olympics. That's not normally my wheelhouse but I liked how these authors handled it.

This was a fast read for me and kicked off the start of this new series very well. I enjoyed this title and am looking forward to the next in the series. I recommend this book.

M. Malone

NYT & USA Today bestselling author M. Malone lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her husband and their two sons. She holds a master's degree in Business from a prestigious college that would no doubt be scandalized by how she's using her expensive education.

Independently published, she has sold more than 1/2 million ebooks in her two series, THE ALEXANDERS and BLUE-COLLAR BILLIONAIRES. Since starting her indie journey in 2011 with the runaway bestselling novella "Teasing Trent," her work has appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists more than a dozen times.

She's now a full-time writer and spends 99.8% of her time in her pajamas.

Nana Malone

USA Today bestselling author Nana Malone's love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense novel she "borrowed" from her cousin.

It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick-butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination constantly channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, Nana works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as brazen and kick-butt as she thinks she is.

SEX, NOT LOVE BY VI KEELAND - REVIEW

From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards.

We met at a wedding—him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.

I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me.

We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.

I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn't dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s—she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage—and flew back home.

I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems.

Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose?

Nothing, I thought.
It’s just sex, not love.
But you know what they say about the best laid plans…

A 5 star book, at least for me, has to hit all the right notes. I have to be invested in the characters, I have to care about them, I have to believe them as people, and I have to like them and feel invested in their happily ever after.

This book made me cry.

I don't think there's a better way to let me know that, as a reader, I was invested.

I loved the first meeting between Hunter and Natalia, the idea that the things he has said in the past directly conflicted with what she does for a living. And, little do you know then, but there is so much more going on with Hunter. He has his reasons for pursing Nat, or as he and no one else calls her, Natalia. He also has his reasons for pulling back from her, and for not letting himself have the happy ending you can tell he wants.

Hunter broke my heart. He made me teary, he made my heart ache for him, and damn him, he made me cry.

Natalia is an incredible woman, to take on the things she has in her life, especially the things she doesn't have to...well, you get a good idea as to exactly who she is, and it lends itself well to knowing that whatever reason Hunter has for pulling away, for feeling like there is a reason that he needs to protect her, she is going to be strong enough to handle.

This book did not end the way I was expecting. Yes, there is a happy ending...but there was also info given that I did not think the reader was going to get. I thought we would be left in the dark and I loved the way this resolution was handled, as it lets you know that there is going to be a really happy ending. Complete with birds, and bird houses, and trees and the kind of love that lasts...50 or 60 years.

I recommend this title.

There are some books that you just don't want to see end. Sex, Not Love was one of those books for me. I finished it, sighed, and immediately wanted to read it again. This book was sexy, funny and full of heart and I absolutely loved it.

I loved how Natalia and Hunter met. I laughed out loud and settled in for what I knew was going to be one heck of a ride. The banter was spot on and I loved how Hunter pursued Natalia from thereon. These characters both come with their fair share of baggage and seeing them work through it was fantastic. I felt I could connect with Natalia and Hunter? Oh, Hunter is one hell of a practically perfect book boyfriend.

The chemistry was instant and just built throughout the book. The sex was hot and steamy, but these two had more than just sex. I was invested in them from the start and I loved the twists and turns their relationship took.

The secondary characters really worked in this book. Izzy might be one of my favorite secondary characters because the author just portrayed her perfectly, in my opinion. The other characters added to and enhanced this story just beautifully.

This book made me cry and it made my heart just break. But it filled all the cracks it created at the same time. I absolutely devoured this book when it hit my kindle and it is one I know will stay with me. I loved this book and can't recommend it highly enough.

SHOULD'VE BEEN YOU BY NICOLE MCLAUGHLIN - ARC REVIEW

Childhood neighbors get a chance at love in Should’ve Been You, an achingly romantic novella in Nicole McLaughlin’s Man Enough series!

National Guardsman Jase Beckford wants to live a quiet life raising cattle and taking care of his mother. His childhood friend and neighbor Hannah is still his best friend, but when he walks into the Walters house one morning and sees her twin sister Becca for the first time in five years, he wonders if he missed out on something special.

Becca Walters has nursed a secret crush on Jase since childhood, but he always preferred Hannah, so she buried her feelings assuming her sister and Jase would one day turn their flirtation into a real relationship. And this Christmas, she is anticipating a proposal of her own, so Jase’s reappearance in her life doesn’t mean anything. Much. Okay, maybe more than Becca would like to admit.

However, when Becca’s sister gets engaged to someone who’s not Jase, Becca and Jase find themselves spending more together. And when secrets are revealed, suddenly those dormant feelings come back to life; but is the possibility of something between them worth risking the happiness of everyone they love?

I enjoyed this shorter novel.  I liked the idea that Jase and Becca had known one another for years but, due to a misunderstanding, had not had much to do with one another...even though Jase was best friends with Hannah, Becca's sister.

I think this was really relate-able, as Jase and Hannah had each other, and in a lot of ways, a close friendship with a member of the opposite sex can substitute for the companionship of a romantic relationship.  And, I think this was something both Jase and Hannah were doing.  And, moving out of this pattern allows both of them to move on to another partner, and another relationship.

I liked the build up of the story, but I think I wanted a little more depth.  I wasn't disappointed enough to not be able to enjoy the story, but I wanted more of their story than I got in this shorter title.  I guess, in a way, that is a good thing.  When a book leaves you wanting more, you enjoyed it.

I recommend this title.

INDECENT EXPOSURE BY TESSA BAILEY - ARC REVIEW

Is there a problem, Officer?

Jack Garrett isn’t a police officer yet, but there’s already an emergency. His new firearms instructor—the one who just dropped every jaw in the academy gym—is the same sexy Irish stranger Jack locked lips with last night. The Olympic gold medalist and expert markswoman is now officially off-limits, but Jack’s never cared much for rules . . .

Katie McCoy’s been cooped up in a shooting range for too long. A wild love affair is just what she needs to let loose, though she never imagined it would be with her smokin’ hot trainee. She cannot get involved with Jack—but a quick fling? Perfect. Falling hard for a charismatic recruit with an equal amount of sex appeal and secrets? Bloody stupid.

Jack’s charmed the pants off plenty of women (literally), yet few have ever looked beyond his perfect surface. Until Katie. He’ll do anything to keep her in his life . . . except tell her about his past. But a tiny lie of omission never hurt anyone, right?

At some point or another, I think I've read everything Tessa Bailey has written.

If this isn't the case, I'm close.

But what I can say for certain is this is not only one of the best books I've ever read, but it's also quite possibly the best book Ms. Bailey has ever written.

I'm picky. And, yes, it's that good.

Jack. Where do I even start with how broken he is from events in his past? And, who wouldn't be? He had a rough childhood, yet somehow he came out of it with a stunning ability to love and care about others, even if his ability to do the same about himself is a little damaged. But, broken as he is, he's most certainly not beyond repair.

The beauty though is that while Katie shows Jack that he's better than he even realizes, he learns this for himself. You like Jack from the beginning, but by the end, you fall a little in love with him because of who he is, of what he's gotten past, because of what he's endured and because of who you watch him become.

Katie brings her own baggage, but who doesn't. And, her baggage conflicts with who Jack is...or rather the way Jack copes with the things in his life. And, I loved the angst this caused, the tension felt real. More often than not you love the people you love in spite of their flaws, you maybe learn to live with the imperfections, but the reality is that when love works, when it's real, it's the ability to accept all of the other person because letting them go is worse.

This book is angsty. Your heart will be in your throat, there will be times Jack, and Katie, break your heart. But it's so incredibly worth it.

I couldn't put this book down, and more importantly, I didn't want to. I didn't want it to end, and I'm sad I finished it. I want more time with Jack and Katie.

Jack and Katie are amazing. I recommend this title.

DIAMOND AND DIRT ROADS BY ERIN NICHOLAS-RELEASE BLITZ

Erin Nicholas
Diamonds and Dirt Roads
Billionaire in Blue Jeans, Book 1
Release Date January 26, 2018

A pretend relationship…within a pretend relationship. Attorney Evan Stone knows every crazy stipulation in billionaire Rudy Carmichael’s will. After all, he wrote it. And he’s determined to make sure each one is fully met by Rudy’s triplet daughters. Even if that means dating the workaholic CEO, Ava. Or pretending to at least. And even if it means resisting the so-right-for-him-she’s-totally-wrong party girl, Cori. Cori’s only got three things on her to do list from her dad: • Move to Bliss, Kansas. • Run his pie shop with her sisters for a year. • No dating. For six months.

But stepping in for her sister when it’s clear that Ava and Evan aren’t fooling anyone with their “romance” isn’t really dating. And falling for her sister’s pretend boyfriend while pretending to be her sister…well, that’s ridiculous. No matter how real things feel whenever she and Evan are together.

Fake relationships are a lot of fun. Especially when they are a fake relationship that is started because the "real" fake relationship is between 2 people who have no chemistry, so you have to do a twin swap.

Confused yet? Trust me, it all makes sense, and it is fun and constructed in such a way that you like all of the characters, even though you want to see Cori and Evan together.

I loved that both Evan and Cori have their reasons to resist the relationship, and that they are drawn to one another because of the situation but in spite of themselves. When the relationship is between 2 people who are trying to figure out exactly what they want, and if they really want one another, and believe in it...well, it's a lot of fun.

The characters are as likeable in this title as they are in all of Ms. Nichols' books, and that is definitely part of the fun of this title. You like them, you want to see what they will do next, and you want to see how they work things out.

Oh, and the pie. There's a lot of pie. That makes it fun too.

About the Author:

I've been reading romance since my mom first let me into her book cupboard when I was about fourteen. LaVyrle Spencer, Julie Garwood, Debbie Macomber... they took my 'happily ever after' ideas from animated princesses to real people in the real world. I've been writing romance almost as long. Many a family car trip was spent with my head bent over a spiral notebook in the back seat. I'll confess that my very first attempts at fiction were fantasy and paranormals, influenced by my father's love of the Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the original Alice in Wonderland. If Harry Potter had been around, I'm sure he would have been on the bedtime story shelf as well. But it wasn't long until I started writing about true love and that's where I've been ever since. I'm so thrilled to be able to share these stories with you! I hope that they make you smile, sigh, maybe even choke up a little. Most of all, I hope that they help you believe in magical things like first kisses, the spark of passion, and the power of true love.
