If you have read any books by this author, you know that she loves twisty angst that makes you cry. The kind that actually makes you wonder if there will be a happy ending for the characters (although it is a romance, so of course there is.)
That said, one of these days, I really think Ms. Michaels is going to follow through on her threat and actually kill off the hero (or heroine) in one of her romance novels...although I am guessing she would still find a way to give them a happily ever after. And, there were a few points in this one where it was angsty and twisty enough that, well, as a reader, you suffer with them.
Emmett and Blakely was just twisty enough that I was really wondering how in the world this was ever going to work out for them, and it was torture as I liked both of them, and I wanted them to find their way back to one another...and I can't lie, I suffered as much as they did, I think.
I enjoyed and recommend this title. Even though you are going to need tissues.
