There were a lot of things I liked about this book. I liked the chemistry between Layla and Hayes, their initial connection was immediate and definitely fueled by insta-lust, which was well written and definitely worked for the story.
I liked the secondary characters, and I thought the plot around the fall fest was amusing.
I did, however, struggle a little with the way their relationship developed to something more than their initial attraction. But, by the end of the book, I believed in their relationship. It's hard to say too much without spoilers, but it's clear from the blurb they meet in one place and she ends up spending a week in Arizona. And, maybe that would happen. But the issue I had is I am not sure the characters would have done this, and i am not totally convinced the author gave the reader enough to allow us to buy into this part of the plot.
But, oddly, at the end, when you get to their HEA, it almost works. Like wrong turns were taken, but you still end up in the right place.
