Madam Temptress by Meghan March - ARC Review & Release Blitz

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes the stunning conclusion to the highly-anticipated Magnolia Duet.

I didn’t choose this path. No one would.
I played the cards I was dealt.
This life made me. This city made me.
I won’t apologize for who I’ve become.
Moses wouldn't have me any other way.
He says he wants forever, and I’m starting to believe him.
But I can’t outrun my past, and my sins are catching up with me.
If it’s time to atone, I’ll gladly pay my penance.
We might be getting our second chance, but we have to make it out alive first.

Madam Temptress is the conclusion of the Magnolia Duet and should be read after

Yet again, Meghan March doesn't disappoint.

I think I mentioned this in the review I posted for the first Magnolia Duet title, but this book feels a little gritty, a little dark, and a little twisty.

I liked it.

A lot.

And, as always with a review for a book that is part of a series, I am reluctant to say what happens in the story, even in a vague way, as it will somehow be a spoiler for someone.

So, I will say that I really enjoyed this book. It was a great escape from life, which is great on a normal day...and days lately have been anything but normal. The characters, the story, the way the book was plotted and written all work so well that you don't want to put this one down.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

The Fight for Forever by Meghan March - ARC Review & Blog Tour

New York Times bestselling author Meghan March concludes the Legend Trilogy.

You can only keep what you can protect.
That’s all I’ve ever known. It’s the way I’ve lived my life.
Now, everything I never knew I needed is at risk, and I’m not letting anyone take it from me.
I won’t let anyone take her from me.
They say love is a battlefield, so I’m ready for war.
This time, it’s the fight for forever.

The Fight for Forever is the third book in the Legend Trilogy and should be read after The Fall of Legend and House of Scarlett

This is the 3rd in the trilogy and it is not a standalone. So, if you are thinking of starting with this one, nope, there are 2 more that you need to read first in order to really be able to be engaged with this one.

I don't want to say goodbye to Scarlett and Gabe. I adore both of them, and all of the zany characters who are also part of their extended family and their story. I feel a connection with them, like they are real people that I want to see succeed and that I worry about when things are difficult.

That said, I loved how this ended up and where it left each of the characters. It's hard to give details without spoilers, but I can say that I loved that sometimes the resolution to something isn't what you expect it to be...and it's not as bad as you think it will be either.

That's all I am going to say here. This book is a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and I enjoyed and recommend this title.

New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the Legend Trilogy.

Gabriel Legend is unlike any other man I’ve ever met.

He came into my life like a hurricane, shattering all my assumptions and preconceived notions.

I wasn’t prepared for him. I wasn’t prepared for any of it.

But life doesn’t wait until you’re ready.

Whatever happens next, I know one thing for certain.

I will never be the same Scarlett I was before I met him.

House of Scarlett is the second book in the Legend Trilogy and should be read after The Fall of Legend, book one.

The Fall of Legend by Meghan March - ARC Review & Release Bltiz

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand new and utterly addictive Legend trilogy.

We come from two different worlds.
I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.
I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

I can't say I have read another book in which the hero and heroine meet in quite the same way as Gabriel "Legend" and Scarlet met in this one.  In fact, I think I would remember it if I had.

I loved it.

I like books that are a little edgier, that have heroes that you maybe (or absolutely) shouldn't like.  And, Legend is definitely one of those kind of heroes that you shouldn't like.  And, Scarlet definitely shouldn't like him.

But you do.  And she does.

And, as this is the 1st in a trilogy it's hard to review without spoilers.  But, I can say that I loved a lot about it.  I loved that they were from very different worlds, that this was part of the attraction and what drew them together.

I loved the reason they were thrown together, and the sheer nerve required of him to ask anything of her after the way they met. (Really, it takes some nerve.)  And, I love how determined she is to rise to his challenge, even though it takes her a while to figure out why she wants to help him.

As the blurb is vague, I am going to say nothing else about this book...other than I loved it and I recommend it.

I never expected to be anyone’s white knight. That’s not a role I’ve ever played.

But when the Casso crime family shifts into uncharted territory, they’re looking for a new hero, and they’re looking for me—Cannon Freeman, the black sheep.

But my time in disgrace is at an end.

It’s my turn to rise up and save the people who matter most to me.

Even if my family has never given a damn about me, I will not let them fall.

More than anything, I will not let her fall.

Black Sheep by Meghan March - ARC Review & Release Bltiz

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a story of untold truths and one man’s redemption in the Dirty Mafia Duet.

Every family has a black sheep.

In the infamous Casso crime family, that black sheep is me—Cannon Freeman.

Except I’m not a free man. I’ve never been free. Not since the day I was born.

I owe my loyalty to my father, Dominic Casso, even if he won’t publicly acknowledge me as his blood.

I’ve never had a reason to go against his wishes…until I met her.

Drew Carson turned my world upside down when she walked into my club looking for a job.

Now, my honor and my life are on the line.

Going against my father’s wishes might buy me a bullet straight from his gun, but black sheep or not, it’s time to make my stand.

She’s worth the fallout.

Meghan March has done it again.

She made me like a character I am probably not supposed to like, she made me want Cannon and Drew to get together and be happy, and, more than anything, she made me yell at my Kindle when I realized that yes, YES, she really did end the 1st book in the duet right at that point in the story.

Now, the real problem? What can I say about this title that isn't a spoiler for someone else?

There are so many twists and turns, so many surprises, and so many things that you don't know from the blurb and figure out as you are reading...and, there is not a lot I can say that won't turn out to be a spoiler for someone.

So, I am going to say that I loved this book. I loved the characters, their relationship, the secondary characters, and the way the story was constructed kept it interesting and engaging from the first page to the last.

I enjoyed and recommend this title...and, waiting for the next one is going to be torture.

It started as a game. She was nothing but my pawn.

The value of a woman like India Baptiste is beyond measure.

Luck of the Devil by Meghan March - ARC Review & Blog Tour

New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the story of ruthless, calculating billionaire Jericho Forge in Luck of the Devil.

My poker face has always been one of my greatest assets, along with my grit and determination. I was beholden to no one. Asked permission for nothing.
Then Jericho Forge took my life by storm.

I traded my freedom for something infinitely more precious, but I didn’t realize he was holding an unbeatable hand.

Now, all I have to do is survive the high-stakes game that is my life—with my heart intact.

But not falling in love with Forge? That will take the luck of the devil.

Luck of the Devil is the second book of the Forge Trilogy, and should be read following Deal with the Devil. The Forge Trilogy concludes in Heart of the Devil.

Well, first off, I was mostly right. And, well, that is always fun. (If this makes no sense, refer to my review of the 1st book in this trilogy.)

That said...I was right enough that this story did move in pretty much the direction I saw coming. But, that is not a criticism. Meghan March has put together the kind of story where you get to know the characters, their good, their bad, their strengths, their flaws and their weaknesses. Once you get to know a character this well, you are not only invested, but the things they do start to feel in character and you are able to believe their actions.

This is exactly where I found myself at the start of this, and as I read it I both knew what I thought was going to happen but was also surprised by the events and engaged in the story.

So, really, this was pretty much the perfect story and the perfect ride.

Until the cliffhanger.

What the heck?!?!? Seriously??? WHY DOES MEGHAN MARCH MAKE ME SUFFER LIKE THIS?? (And, why do I enjoy it so much? Although, that feels like a conversation for a different review.)

And, since no spoilers will live in this review, I am going to tell you that you will love it, that it's exactly what you want to have happen, and that you will be yelling at your Kindle while hoping if you keep pressing the forward button, you will get the next part of the story.

I enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.

Deal With the Devil by Meghan March - ARC Review & Blog Tour

From New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller Meghan March comes the first book in a new riveting romance trilogy filled with international high-stakes, dangerous hidden agendas, and—in true March fashion—plenty of twists and turns.

"You can put that man in a suit, but he'll never be tame."

One look at Jericho Forge and I knew the rumors were true. He was a predator, and he had set his sights on me.

I knew better than to bet more than I could afford to lose that night. I knew better than to bet myself. But desperation leads to bad decisions, and I thought there was no way I could lose.

I was wrong.

Now I have no choice but to make a deal with the devil.

GUILTY AS SIN BY MEGHAN MARCH-REVIEW BLITZ

Guilty until proven innocent.
That’s the way the world works, right?
I’m tired of being convicted without evidence, all because my last name is Gable.
The Riscoffs might own this town, but I’m done following their rules.
If only I could forget just how easily Lincoln Riscoff can drag me under his spell.

AVAILABLE NOW

After that cliffhanger, you want to know what happens next... RIGHT NOW. But, you get to wait for just a bit to find out what happens now for Lincoln and Whitney.

This is the middle book in the trilogy, so writing this review is a little like one of those old maps with dragons on the edges...it's not safe to say much of anything about this book.

What I can say is I enjoyed it. I liked the story, and the way it developed. I liked the characters (even the ones I don't like are fascinating) and I didn't see the ending coming. At all.

This is not a standalone, so make sure you've read the first before you dive into this one.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a brand new saga of forbidden love and second chances. A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends. Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn’t know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she’s home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there’s no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after . . . but I’m not done with Whitney Gable. I’ll never be done with her.

Whitney Gable is the kind of woman you fight to the death to protect.
To keep.
To cherish.
I’ve finally learned my lesson, and it’s time to prove I’m the man who’s worthy of her.
I don’t care what it takes, because failure is not an option.
No matter who or what stands in our way—this time, she’ll be mine forever

A New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had. REAL SEXY BY MEGHAN MARCH - REVIEW

Country music star Boone Thrasher has never walked away from a fight, and he’s willing to put everything on the line to win the woman he can’t live without in the conclusion to the Real Dirty Duet by USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.

Real Sexy should be read following Real Dirty.

First, and most important, this is not a standalone. If you haven't read the first book in the series, stop here and read it. I'll wait.

Meghan March titles are always a little dramatic and a little over the top. If a disaster can happen, it will. If there's a cliche waiting, it's going to be in the book.

So, why do I enjoy them as much as I do?

Because, bottom line, they are enjoyable, well written fun. I'm always engaged. I'm laughing. I'm pulling for the characters and their relationship. I'm enjoying the writing and the pacing of the story.

This starts off right where the previous title in the duet ends so it doesn't take too long for the cliffhanger to resolve.

I enjoyed Boone and Ripley. I enjoyed that he was both a celebrity and the best guy she'd ever known. I enjoyed their relationship. I loved the fact that he was all in well before she was...and how (mostly) patient he was with her while she was figuring out that she was as in love with him as he was with her.

Add in a parrot with a profanity laden vocabulary and you have a duet that's a pleasure to read.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
