Heartless Sinner by Erika Wilde - ARC Review
She was the one woman I couldn’t resist . . .
Half past thirty and still single, my father rode my ass daily about getting married, starting a family, and looking the part. I needed to soften my enforcer image and have the outward appearance that I was on the straight and narrow.
When I argued that I wasn't ready to settle down, he explained that no one ever was, and none of them ever did...with a wink. I laughed, until I thought about my mother. I might be a tough guy in a dangerous world, but I wanted a woman who could handle me at my worst and positively adore me at my best. Was that so much to ask of a wife?
There'd only ever been one girl who came close to that: Marla. She was plenty tough herself. She had to be. She grew up in the world, as well. And when she came to me asking for help to avenge her brother’s death, I was more than happy to help . . . for a price.
Marriage. To me. A mafia capo . . . the very thing she swore she’d never do.
Heartless Sinner is the first book in the Made for the Mafia series. Each book in the series stands alone and ends in a guaranteed HEA.

Absolute Pleasure by Erika Wilde - ARC Review
Meet Hunter Wilder, a man that is terrified of happily ever after.
Hunter is used to dominating, taking control of situations and bending them to his will. He may live in a New York castle, but he’s no prince. Cursed by loss, Hunter is a closed book with an emptiness that he can’t escape.
Until he meets her.
Gabriella Darien may be gorgeous and driven, but her Cinderella story is more than it appears. The death of her father left her with a wicked stepmother intent on sabotaging the business her parents worked so hard to create.
One enchanted night of all-consuming and absolute pleasure brings two broken souls together. With a new version of their future finally in sight, a promise kept might cost them everything.
Will this Cinderella find her prince, or will they watch their happily ever after disappear at the stroke of midnight?
ABSOLUTE PLEASURE is a modern, sinfully seductive take on Cinderella. It is a stand-alone, second-chance fairy-tale romance. No cheating. No cliffhangers.

It’s not like he has a problem getting women on his own. Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend, stat. Someone who can accompany her to her family reunion so she doesn't have to explain that she's been recently dumped. Again. She’s perfectly happy being an independent woman, but what’s a girl to do when her new fake boyfriend starts to feel like the real deal?

TALL, DARK & IRRESISTIBLE BY ERIKA WILDE - ARC REVIEW
A complete stand-alone story, TALL, DARK & IRRESISTIBLE is a fun, flirty swoon-worthy romance!
When it comes to love and happily ever after, Leo Stone is a disbeliever. Having been left at the altar by the one woman he thought he'd spend the rest of his life with, he's vowed to keep his heart to himself and enjoy the one thing he knows won't affect his emotions... hot, dirty sex. Except, what's a guy to do when a gorgeous woman asks him to be her stand-in boyfriend for two weeks — with benefits? Sign him up, please!
A drunken night one year ago, Peyton Bishop used Leo Stone's name and photograph to convince her overly-protective parents that she was safe living in New York City — in part thanks to a boyfriend she adored. Except Leo, the hot guy she's had a secret crush on since college, has no idea he's been cast in the role of her lover. With her cousin's wedding coming up, and her parent's expecting to meet this mysterious boyfriend, Peyton is forced to come clean and ask Leo a huge favor.
Leo agrees to be her stand-in boyfriend, but what's a pretend couple to do when their fake feelings start to become oh-so-real?
What possible harm could come of using someone you knew in college, and had a crush on, as a pretend boyfriend so your overprotective parents don't worry? And, if you have a graphic designer friend photoshop him into a few photos, and share them with your parents...who will ever know?
No one will know, no harm will come from it. It will be just fine.
Until those overprotective parents use a family wedding as an excuse to start insisting that they meet this boyfriend...of almost a year.
OOPS.
Peyton and Leo don't even live in the same city. Peyton is building a life in New York, although it's struggling a bit, and Leo has a successful business in San Diego, meaning he's available for the local charade, but anything more and their lives just don't work together.
Which is a real shame as the attraction in college was mutual, it's still there, and neither of them are doing a great job of resisting the other. Good thing they stop trying.
I enjoy books like this, as long as the game doesn't get cruel to the people they are fooling. If it goes on too long, or others start investing in the truth of the relationship, and I find myself becoming disengaged with the characters. This didn't happen in this title, as the ruse is for a short period of time and the attraction is instant (well, a hold over from before) so the rapid connection they develop makes sense for the story.
The connection they have is also scorching, which adds to the believability of the situation. When you really believe the two characters are fighting to keep their hands off one another, it's easy to believe they would be willing to go along with a lie, and it's also easy to believe that the connection would quickly lead to more.

PLAYING HIS WAY BY ERIKA WILDE - BLOG TOUR AND ARC REVIEW

HE'S READY TO PLAY . . . ARE YOU?

Hiring beautiful interior designer Stephanie Randall to create fantasy bedrooms within his club is his first mistake. She's curious, flirtatious, and makes his blood run hotter than it ever has before. Innocent when it comes to all the debauchery his sinful world has to offer, she wants to take a walk on the wild side . . . with him.
His second mistake? Saying yes. And his third? Falling for the one woman he knows he can never have.
This book has fabulous chemistry. It's hot, it's compelling, and it draws you in. Mac wants Stephanie, but thinks she is too young for him, and that the things she wants in her life will be things that he is not able to give her, so he denies himself. He doesn't pursue her, and he doesn't react when she flirts with him...well, he reacts, but he doesn't act on it.
The writing in this was excellent. It kept the reader on the edge of their attraction, in the same way that Mac and Stephanie were. I enjoyed that you feel how they feel, that you believe in them and their attraction and you believe it when she finally pushes him to the point where he is willing to ignore what he thinks is right and take what he wants, and she is offering.
I recommend this title, and I recommend it.
Stephanie strolled toward Mac, a mischievous glimmer suddenly brightening her gorgeous blue eyes, putting him on alert. "I'd like to attend the Masquerade party at The Players Club on Saturday, to get a better feel for the club and what other fantasy elements might work for your members." He stiffened at her unexpected request. The temptation of having her in this domain—wanting her but refusing to touch her—wasn't something he wanted to endure. And watching her possibly hook up with someone else, like Rick? Complete fucking agony. He shook his head. "I don't think attending the Masquerade party is necessary. I'm sure you can come up with a few other ideas without being here when everything is in full swing, which is probably going to be more distracting, than helpful." "What if I want to be here?" the little vixen proposed, her voice holding a hint of a challenge. "You know, to mix a little business with pleasure?" His expression remained composed, his resolve, firm. "I'm going to have to say no." She tipped her head to the side, studying him much too astutely. "I can always get an invitation from Jillian, you know," she said as she came closer and closer. "No, you can't," he countered. "I put a freeze on any new invitations until I'm done going through the current membership." She laughed softly, huskily, the sound like a stroke along his cock. Much like her hand was suddenly stroking down the length of his tie before giving it a playful tug. "Do I make you nervous, Mac?" His hands curled into fists in his pockets, because it was taking extreme effort not to grasp her face in his palms and kiss that soft, plush, impudent mouth of hers—hot and hard and deep. "Do I look like a man who'd be intimidated by any woman?" he asked, his voice surprisingly steady. She thought about that for a brief moment before giving her hair a subtle toss and replying. "Intimidated, no." Then a sexy, knowing smile curved her lips. "Nervous, definitely, because if you weren't a little uneasy about whatever this thing is between us, you wouldn't have an issue with me coming to the Masquerade party and being at the club." "The last thing you make me feel is uneasy." Instead, her presence had lust pumping through him like a heady surge of adrenaline. She was certainly testing his control. Her free hand came back up and splayed on his chest, the heat of her touch searing him through his dress shirt. "If I don't make you nervous, then prove it," she cajoled. "Let me come to the party on Saturday. I promise not to be too shocked by what I see." His jaw clenched as she met his gaze and held it, so bold and brazen when she really had no idea what she was messing with, or what he was capable of. This woman was no shrinking violet, and she was the furthest thing from the kind of submissive, obedient female he preferred—and Jesus, Christ, his dick was hard as stone for her. This was a woman who liked having the advantage, who enjoyed a little power play, and fuck if that didn't make him want to pin her against the wall behind her and make it very clear who really had the upper hand between them. "So, what will it be, Mr. MacMillan?" she murmured huskily. "Inviting me to the club on Saturday, or are you going to chicken out?"

TURNING UP THE HEAT BY ERIKA WILDE-REVIEW
A sexy stand-alone, full-length novel!
Kerri knows firsthand that you can hide a lot behind a microphone. Although she's earned a reputation for discussing every aspect of sex on her show, she's never had to back it up . . . until a sexy mystery caller proves to be even more irresistible in person.
Ian Carlisle is immediately intrigued by the sultry voice he hears on the late night radio show, and it doesn't take him long to arouse Kerri's imagination with his dirty talk. Now he's turning up the heat and seducing the rest of her. Their on-the-air chemistry sizzles and they heat up the airwaves, debating any and all provocative issues possible. As the ratings soar, so does the sexual tension.
But will Ian do when he discovers Kerri's not the sex expert she professes to be?
Originally published as Heat Wave under the name Janelle Denison
I liked Ian and Kerri and I loved the idea of the attraction between them being explored over the radio before there was an in person relationship. The exploration of the attraction of what worked for each of them and how things could be with them, and the idea that this was all explored without in-person contact gave the reader a kinship with the characters, and I think this made the title relateable.
There was a lot going on with the secondary characters, and at times I thought there was a little too much and the scenes felt a little long, but at the same time, I felt that the relationship with Ian and Kerri was developed.
I loved the ending. Was it a little predictable? Yeah, it was. But it was also important that it ended that way and it worked...as it was the way I think it would have progressed if they were real people. And, when I can believe the characters are real, I am definitely more engaged with the book.
I recommend this title.

Game of Chance was my first standalone novel from Erika Wilde. She has partnered up before with another author and I enjoyed those books so I thought I would give this a try. I'm so very glad I did. This story was sexy, sweet and had me on the edge of my seat suspense wise at times. There were also some moments that broke my heart.
I really liked Nicole right from the start. She's a confident woman, professionally and personally. She's trying to catch her big break as a journalist and when she's presented an opportunity-albeit very accidentally-she grabs it and runs with it. I liked that Nicole wasn't looking for a relationship-a character trait that is usually assigned to the male characters in romance novels-so that was refreshing. Her growth and strength in this book was good to me.
Nathan was hot! He has some issues from his past (who doesn't) but has such a good heart. He's not looking for a relationship either so when he agrees to do something for a friend and winds up meeting Nicole, it's no surprise that they tumble into bed after. But it's how they act around each other after that I enjoyed. Watching Nathan realize that he could be happy, and should be happy was very satisfying.
These two had insane chemistry. I felt it and believed in it right from the very beginning. I feel that their relationship was paced exactly right for them which was great. Nothing felt rushed or forgotten for me there.
I will say this book has some issues that could be triggers for some (sex trafficking). It's hard to say without spoiling it, as the blurb doesn't imply it-and I almost wish it had. I will say the issues were well presented and well written, I just wasn't expecting to have them as a main focus. I applaud the author for not shying away from a prevalent topic.
This book is a great start to this author's Vegas Heat trilogy. It's full of heat and suspense. I would recommend this title and look forward to the next in the series.
Take a Chance
The son of a con-artist, Sean O'Brien learned the hard way that living by your own rules comes with a price. After a brief time behind bars, Sean is now ready to live an honest life, and pay for his past mistakes, and he's fortunate enough that a member of The Reliance Group sees Sean's potential for good and gives him a job at the Onyx Casino.
Zoe Russo has met all types of men on the Vegas strip. But when Sean pays a visit to her boutique, she's certain her luck has changed for the better. They share an immediate, irresistible attraction, and for the first time in her life she's found a man she thinks she can trust. But when Zoe stumbles onto the truth about Sean and his reasons for pursuing her, she can't help but question everything they'd shared. Are his feelings for her real, or has she been a fool once again? Until now, nothing has prepared her for the thrill and risk of taking a chance on love.

I enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited to dive into book number two. Overall, I liked this book. It wasn't my favorite of the three in this series, but it was a fast, well written read. While part of the Vegas Heat series this can be read as a standalone.
Sean and Zoe share a connection-one that Zoe isn't aware of when the book begins. Now sometimes that trope can really work, but here I just didn't buy into it fully. I liked these two separately, and I believe Sean redeemed himself, but I never fully connected to them as a couple. Did they have some steamy moments? Yes. But other than that I just thought they were ok together.
Part of my issue may have been that there was a second romance brewing in this book, one between Zoe's best friend and her ex. I love second chance romances, they're one of my favorite things to read, but I felt like these two pulled away from the main characters a bit. Did I enjoy reading about them? Absolutely. I just think I would have enjoyed both couples more if I had read them separately.
This book was tightly written. The plot flowed well and kept my interest. This was a quick read for me and overall I did enjoy it. I would recommend this book.
Last Chance

Last Chance was my favorite book in the Vegas Heat series. From the moment I started reading I was sucked in and couldn't stop. Now, there are some things that might not be for everyone (it's not a spoiler that the heroine has psychic abilities) but I thought it was smartly written and well done.
I loved Valerie. I loved how complex of a character she was, getting to explore her depths was fascinating. She's gifted, which adds a unique twist to this book. It was a different perspective to add to this romantic suspense story.
I'm going to say it took me a little bit to warm up to Chase-and I'm kind of glad. It kept me intrigued. His gift is a little bit different from Valerie's, and I'll say that it definitely piqued my interest. I thought his profession was really cool-a modern day treasure hunter with a twist.
These two had instant chemistry. I mean, it was off the charts. But they were also determined that it was not going to turn into anything. It's always fun to see how wrong the hero and heroine can be when it comes to what they think they'll be getting out of a relationship. I rooted for them as they went on this wild chase and loved every minute of it.
This book is a standalone within a series. Had I started with this book I would have absolutely gone back and read the previous two. The writing was flowed, the pacing worked. I enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it.
