Vaughn is a celebrity and Olivia is the daughter of one who has worked very hard to shield her, and his family, from the pressures and the exposure of being famous. This is a fun aspect of this title, as her father is Luke Williams...a name that matters if you have read the other Seattle series by Kristen Proby. It's not necessary that you have read them, but if you had it adds an interesting dimension.

So, since they shouldn't be, of course they are instantly attracted to one another, even if at their initial meeting it seems like they are not going to be able to be friends, the chemistry is there. And both of them want to act on it...even though they both know it's not a great idea.

There were parts in this book where I found Olivia to be a little immature and annoying. Not enough to take me fully out of the book, but definitely she is not my favorite of heroines for Kristen Proby.

That said, Vaughn is definitely one of my favorite heroes. I love how earnest he is in the attraction they have to one another, and how willing he is to do what it takes to make them work, even when it involves taking a look at how he reacts to things or how he handles situations and realizing that there may have been a better way.

I also enjoyed the secondary characters in this one, and the way they were introduced worked well in the story. I think this book did an excellent job of avoiding the trap that many that are first in the series fall into...namely becoming a who's who of the characters you will meet without getting to know the characters in the story. This title was balanced well between getting to know the secondary people and still focusing on the main couple, Olivia and Vaughn.

As usual with this author, I enjoyed and recommend this title.
