I really enjoyed the 1st book in this series, so I was excited to get my hands on this one and Jenner and Jo did not disappoint. That said, if you haven't read The Lawyer, that's ok and you can still pick up with this one. Aside from some minor spoilers of the first in the series, this is a standalone.

This title, like the last and other books featuring some of the supporting characters (The Agency series if you want to check them out), is a little more erotic than other titles by this author, and it was a lot of fun. It's definitely a little bit of an insta-love, but in a "I am on vacation and it's a fling" way, so that works even if that's not a favorite trope.

The title has a great story and great characters, which really makes the erotic a lot of fun as you believe in the connection between Jenner and Jo. It's also well paced and the sex scenes move the story forward and don't feel like they are there because the book wants to be on the erotic side.

There's a bit of a twist that I did not see coming. It might be obvious as I was reading to enjoy and not to predict the ending, but it surprised me and also made the story more compelling and interesting. It also made the epilogue interesting, but that's all I am going to say on that.

I enjoyed and recommend this title...and the previous book in the series, if you haven't read it.
