Blurb:
Scott Sebastian is a liar.
Fitting, since I’m a liar too.
Yet there’s no place for me in his glittering world of half-truths.
With all our secrets in the open, I should stop trying. What I’ve learned should send me running far away. I can’t keep pining for a man in love if I’m not the woman he’s in love with.
But it’s not that easy to escape the Sebastians. I already knew they owned this city.
Now I’ll find out if they also own their son.
I absolutely loved the ending of this duet.
Terese (Tessa) and Scott were fun, and hot, and sexy, and they were absolutely perfect for one another.
I also loved the realism and the little things that felt true to life in this title. There is so much going on in the world that I think some authors, and some readers too, feel like they want to totally escape while reading. And I get that.
But, when the real life is added into a story in the way that it was in this one, it makes the characters and their lives seem more real, and more relatable even though the story is also "topical" with the things we are talking about in the world.
I am not even sure this makes sense. I guess what I am trying to say is there is a way to make characters as a part of the current world discussing current things without it feeling like a TED talk...and this book is the master class in doing it well.
As for the actual book, the plot and the story, I loved it, and I loved the way it played out, even though I am not going to give details as they could be spoilers. You are just going to have to read this one for yourself...you know you want to.
And, yes, you need to read the first one before you read this one.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

About the Author:
With millions of books sold worldwide, Laurelin Paige is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author. She is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however.
When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Killing Eve or Letterkenny, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She’s also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn’t do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio.
She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.
