DIRTY RECKLESS LOVE BY LEXI RYAN - RELEASE BLITZ

LOVE_BLITZ.jpg

dirty_amazon
I’m in love with a man who tried to kill me. At least that’s what they tell me . . .
Six weeks ago, paramedics found me unconscious in my own home. Beaten. Bruised. Hardly breathing. When I woke up, I couldn’t remember the last three years or anything about my life in Jackson Harbor. They tell me my fiancĂ©, Colton McKinley, is on the run for what he did to me. They tell me I’m safer if I stay away.
I don’t care if my memories ever come back. I want nothing to do with those missing years . . . until a sexy stranger with angry eyes shows up on my doorstep and demands I stop ignoring him.
Levi Jackson is my fiancĂ©’s best friend, but seeing him sparks something inside me. As the truth unravels in my mind, I know they’re wrong about Colton. My own secrets are far more dangerous than the man I was engaged to.
I return to Jackson Harbor to search for answers and find myself running from a faceless boogeyman and seeking refuge in Levi’s arms. And in his bed.
I can’t deny my feelings for Levi. But as the pile of lies between us grows, I realize that sometimes the truth can’t set us free. It may be the very thing that could destroy us.

BOY TOY BY SARINA BOWN AND TANYA EBY-RELEASE BLITZ

A brand new romantic comedy from your favorite snort-laughing duo!

Liam

The moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was fourteen, and I'm still not over her. Problem: she still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I've learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last fifteen years. I can't wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.

Sadie

I've just survived the worst year of my life. As a single mom of twin toddlers, I don't have time for a man. I barely have time to finish a thought. Who knew that Liam McAllister would grow up to be so devastating? He's everything my husband was not: tall, built, and willing to have a tea party with my girls.

I can't possibly get involved with him. He's too young for me. Too handsome. But he's so persuasive...

I can't lie. I hate the name Liam in books. It's a personal thing, and we all have names that don't work for us, for whatever reason. So, for me to want to read it, to be willing to ignore the name, and to enjoy it in spite of the name...well, it's got to be one heck of a book.

And, this one was exactly that. One heck of a book.

Liam and Sadie have an age difference. One that bothers Sadie and is absolutely no big deal to Liam. He is attracted to Sadie, doesn't care how old she is, how much baggage she brings to the relationship. He just wants her.

Sadie has doubts. She thinks Liam is too young, and she is not sure of the direction he is taking in his life, thinking that maybe he isn't mature enough to be with her in a long term relationship. Little does she know, there is a lot more to him than she initially sees and before long, her boy toy is turning into something a lot more.

I loved that the revelations about who Liam is are mixed for the reader. Some of it we know, some you find out with Sadie, allowing you to like him, but still be on the journey with Sadie as she realizes that her preconceived notions just might keep her from the perfect, love of her life.

The chemistry is scorching, and that matters, as it's what finally allows Sadie to at least have a fling with Liam, and you have to be willing to believe that she would get over her reasons for not being with him before you believe she is willing to give him a chance.

Even if his name is Liam. (Kidding)

I enjoyed this book, and I recommend it.

TOUGH LUCK COWBOY BY AJ PINE - ARC REVIEW

The only girl he ever wanted was the one he could never have.

What's the saying, bad luck comes in threes? If so, Lily Green is due for something good. First, her divorce is finalized---on her birthday, no less. Then the first job she lands for her catering company turns out to be for her ex-husband's wedding. To top it off, she's stuck working the event with Luke Everett, the sexy-as-hell best man who's never been able to stand her. When can a girl catch a break?

For years, Luke has kept his feelings for Lily safely hidden. Hitting on his best friend's ex-wife would definitely break the cowboy code of honor. But ever since an injury sidelined his rodeo riding, the two of them keep getting thrown together. It's only a matter of time until his true feelings come to light. When that happens, it will either be the biggest mistake of his life, or a sign that his luck is about to change.

Luke and Lily hate each other.

Well, actually, Luke doesn't hate her at all, he's in love with her, and she is married to his best friend.

And, then she isn't...so she is free to pursue a relationship with him, to act on the chemistry that he has always felt and that she sees as existing as the flip side to their dislike of one another.

Lily is catering her ex-husband's wedding...in one of those quirks of life that are totally believable, and happen in a way in this book that you see coming, even though it's obvious she doesn't.  As Luke is the best man, it's tough to avoid one another.  Until they both realize they don't want to, that the attraction is more than they can ignore.

So, they have a one time, get it out of their system fling.  And, that works as well here as it ever does, and it quickly becomes more.  But, how?  She is the ex wife of his best friend, he is a rodeo cowboy who is ignoring the risks, and betting on himself, to have one last ride and leave the sport on his terms.

A.J. Pine handles all of this exceptionally well.  You want these people happy, you want Luke to have his time in the spotlight and leave his port on his terms, and you believe hum when he says he knows the risks, knows what he is capable of, and will be fine.  Although, I must admit to being teary when the scene actually happens.

Really, what can you ask for that is more than being so connected to a character that you cry for them and with them?

I loved this book, and I recommend it...and the first one in the series as well.

WHEN IT'S RIGHT BY VICTORIA DENAULT - ARC REVIEW

IT'S ALL A MATTER OF TIMING

Griffin Sullivan is handling the ultimate balancing act. Between being a single dad to an active six-year-old and the crazy demands of his job as a hockey coach, finding love is not in the cards. But when the team's goalie is rushed to the ER, he's immediately captivated by the gorgeous, sassy nurse on duty... who just happens to be the sister of one his players.

Sadie Braddock has always had a big, open heart and a bit of a wild side. But since her dad got sick, she's closed herself off to life and love. Relationships are way too complicated - and so is Griffin. He's also funny and tender and sexy as hell. How can something that feels so right come at the worst time ever? Then again, someone to lean on may be exactly what they each need - if they're only brave enough to take the risk.

Life is complicated.  It's full of ups and downs, of things that take over when you least expect it, and of things that happen at inconvenient times.

So, how do you know when the thing that you have found, even if it is inconvenient, is somehitng too good to pass up? Griffin has a difficult (understatement) ex wife and a son.  Add in a demanding and time consuming job, and he has a list of reasons to stay single.  Sadie has a sick father, and family expectations, and a life she is trying to live while dealing with the potential end of a close family member's (not a spoiler, but an overarching story line in all the titles) so, romance is not on her list.

And, then, Griffin meets Sadie.  And he resits the attraction.  And then she does.  And then he does.

And, then, they both realize that it's not going away and that maybe that's just how life works, that you have to take what it gives you when it's good as you never know when that will be taken away.  This is definitely the theme of the book, and in both of their lives...and the duality of this for both of them allows them to finally move forward.

The writing is strong.  There's a lot of drama and some really serious stuff going on in this book, but it avoids the maudlin and never makes the reader feel that they are being bogged down in things that are heavier than they may want from a romance.  A delicate line to walk, for sure and it's handled very well in this title.

I enjoyed this book, and I recommend it.
