Kelsey interested me. I wanted to understand why she was the way she was and I desperately wanted to see her break out of her self imposed shell. I sympathized with her but at the same time I wanted to shake her occasionally. She needed some tough love and I don't know that she necessarily got that as soon as I thought she needed it.
Wyatt had his own share of issues. He's gearing up for this show, a show he desperately wants to go well. He has a vision and is determined to see it through. Seeing Kelsey again throws a wrench into his plans-because she's perfect for what he needs but she's the last person he wants to use. Seeing him work through his feelings was good.
I felt the connection between these two, both in their past and the present. We are shown their past and my heart couldn't help but wince at the circumstances that they had to deal with. I will say these two didn't have the best communication skills when they were first together and that carried over a bit when they got back together. But I did want them to be together-I just wanted them to communicate better.
This is a well written second chance romance. I enjoyed seeing these characters go on their journey and discover what they truly meant to one another. I'm interested to read the next book from this author and I recommend this book.

The chance to escape from under the black cloud his father had left hanging over him. The chance to prove himself to his family. To live up to the goddamn Segel name. But that would only happen if the show was a success. So maybe that was why he was hesitating. Because the moment he committed was the moment the truth crept toward him on little cat paws, and it would either curl up and purr, or rip his heart out.
