Winning With Him by Lauren Blakely-Release Blast

Resisting the shortstop has never been my strong suit. I failed at it during my first spring training. It sure as hell looks like I'm about to fail at it again.

The sport I love playing with my very soul hangs in the balance. But everything my heart craves lies with the guy I've got to resist.

A guy who's asking me to make the toughest choice ever.

But how do I become the man I want to be...with him or without him?

Trouble is, I can't seem to get Declan out of my head, even if I stand to lose everything I've worked for my entire life...

Winning with Him is book two in the utterly addictive Men of Summer series, and should be read following Scoring With Him. This romance between two professional athletes spans five epic years.

Sometimes a book comes along that is just perfection. Winning With Him is hands down one of those books. This book took me through every emotion and left me with the biggest smile on my face. Grant and Declan are epic.

I love the way this story came together. I was SO distraught by the cliffhanger from book one (I swear, no more cliffhangers, Lauren! My heart can't take it!) and I NEEDED answers. This book definitely delivered. It was so satisfying to continue this journey with Grant and Declan.

None of this journey was easy. And I appreciated that. This book is very real and honest. It's beautiful. I couldn't decide who I loved more-Grant or Declan. It's a close call for sure. These men have so much that need to work though but the way they do it? Totally makes sense and had me cheering. I loved, loved, loved watching their relationship come back together and seeing how they had learned and changed.

I loved catching up with old characters here as well. Now, I usually say Lauren Blakely books are standalones but this one you do need to read in order. The supporting cast definitely had me grinning. Grant's grandparents may be some of my favorite characters ever.

Now I need to talk about the narration. I was also lucky enough to have an advanced listening copy of this and I am going to say right now that in this book?? Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan give some of their FINEST performances. These two truly embody Grant and Declan and bring them to life. I had tears listening to them at times-but make no mistake, I was definitely smiling in the end.

I wish rating systems went higher than five stars. This book deserves all of them and more. It is perfection from start to finish and one I know I will constantly read/listen to again. I cannot recommend this enough!!
