Beard Necessities by Penny Reid-Release Blitz

Billy Winston’s family is going to see him happy and in love if it’s the last thing they do.

Beard Necessities, the final standalone in the bestselling romantic comedy Winston Brothers series from New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Penny Reid, is available now!

No one deserves a happily-ever-after quite as much as the second oldest Winston brother and his lady love, Claire McClure (aka Scarlet St. Claire). Cruelty and circumstance tore them apart almost twenty years ago. Secrecy and bitterness kept them separated.

But you know who's tired of their separation and stubbornness? Everyone. Especially Billy Winston’s family. And now they're going to do something about it.

Well-meaning interference means the star-crossed lovers can’t stop tripping over each other in the hills of Tuscany, the catacombs of Rome, and the waterways of Venice. Billy and Claire find themselves thrown together and at the mercy of the Winston siblings’ shenanigans.

But will their forced proximity bring them together? Or push them even further apart?

This second-chance romance brings back the entire Winston gang, playing cupid in one last story of love, hi-jinks, and family collusion.

BEARD NECESSITIES is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, and can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s probably best read after books 0.5, 2, 3, 5, and 6 of the Winston Brothers series.

Space by Penny Reid-Release Blitz

Space, the second book in the all-new Laws of Physics Trilogy from Wall Street Journal and New York Times bestselling author Penny Reid, is available now!

One week.

Private cabin.

Famous physicist.

Still an unrepentant slacker.

What’s the worst that could happen?

Mona’s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother’s band of friends, including the one person she'd hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.

Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.

I love any opportunity to catch up with the Winston Brothers so I've been (im)patiently waiting for Dr. Strange Beard. This story was absolutely worth the wait. It's so smartly written and had me laughing, sighing, shaking my head and swooning.

This book is the 5th in this series and I'll be honest. Some series can be read as standalones, you can pick up any book and start with it. I strongly advise that is NOT the case with this series. Trust me and start from the beginning.

I will say I had a tough time warming up to Simone at first. Maybe it's just that I'm such a Winston die-hard but I didn't connect with her right away. I liked her...but didn't love her until a little further along in the book. She absolutely grew on me. She's smart and stubborn. I think she did a lot of growing in this book and I liked that.

Roscoe? Roscoe had my heart from the very beginning. He has a gift, though some may think it's a curse, and the way Reid explains it was just perfect. I truly felt for him. He's kind, funny and trying hard to guard himself. His words-and you'll know what I mean when you read them-just melted me.

This isn't your typical second chance romance. There's so many more layers here and I really loved getting to see them all peel back. The connection between Simone and Roscoe is tangible and completely believable. The sexy times they shared were some of the sexiest I've read lately.

The supporting cast of characters are just great here. All of them. I've said it before but I'll say it again, I love the Winston family. I love how connected they are and what they're willing to do for one another. Reid drops so many things in this book about other characters that just has me clamoring for more of her work!

This is a smart, touching book. I tried to slow my reading down but I just couldn't stop once I started. I would highly recommend this book.

“Simone, this is not one of our adventures from when we were kids. This is not finding Blithe Tanner’s cat. These men are murderers, drug dealers, thieves.” “I know.” Boy oh boy, did I know. I didn’t want to be here anymore than he did. I was frightened. Yet allowing Roscoe to be taken on his own hadn’t been an option. “I can handle myself, and I can provide backup for you, if you need it.” Roscoe gripped my shoulders. “Nothing can happen to you, do you understand?” His words were emphatic, his gaze disoriented, desolate, frantic. “If anything happens to you, I’ll . . .” He swallowed, apparently unable to finish the sentence. My heart twisted to see him like this. I wished there were some way to show him what I could do, what I was capable of, so he would stop seeing me as a liability. Well, why can’t you? “Huh.” Now there was a thought. Stepping out of his grip, I walked backward to the other side of the room and took a deep breath. “Okay. Come at me.” He blinked. “What?” “I want you to come at me.” “Simone,” he seethed. “Come at me, bro.” I did that little movement with my fingers, my palm turned upwards. “Come at me or I’ll start singing again.” “I’m not doing this.” “Fine.”Frustrating. “I’ll come at you.” He stood there, features set, looking raw. Moving quickly forward, staying light on my feet, I faked right and then went left, hooking him behind the back of his leg, catching his arm to twist behind his back, and sending him to the ground—face-first—with a thud. I winced as he grunted, my knee at the base of his spine, his arm restrained behind his back. “Sorry! But you wouldn’t listen to me.” Leaning forward, I whispered in his ear, “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” Roscoe’s back and shoulders rose and fell with an expansive breath, like he was about to respond, but in the next moment he’d spun his legs to the right, leveraged my knee on his back to throw me off-balance, and slipped his wrist from my hold. In my defense, my grip had been lax as I was purposefully trying not to injure him. The next thing I knew, Roscoe had me pinned to the ground, air knocked out of me, him hovering above, and my gun digging into my ribs beneath my shirt. He’d been careful to subdue my legs, likely so he wouldn’t end up with a bruised ballsack. His stare more probing than angry—which I took as a good sign—he said, “I didn’t teach you that. Where’d you learn that?” Even though I was still coughing, I smiled and rasped, “Since college, take judo.” He nodded faintly, his eyes moving between mine, looking concerned. “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” “No.” Endeavoring to catch my breath, I said, “I took it easy on you because I didn’t want to hurt you either, but I’m an asset, not a liability.” “You’re definitely an asset.” Roscoe frowned, his gaze dropping to my mouth. “And a distraction,” he said, his voice rough. “I’m a distraction?” I asked, my words still breathy. I bucked, but he held me fast. “Yes. . .” His stare turned inward. “You are most definitely a distraction.” Even though I’d had plenty of time to recover and we’d been holding still for close to a minute, I was still breathing hard. This might have been because of my lingering irritation. Or, maybe it was because the length of Roscoe’s lean body was lying on mine. He held my hands on either side of my head, our faces even, his mouth just inches away. Was it insane that I hoped he kissed me? Yes? No? Let’s go with no. He gave me his eyes again and I saw something there, a battle. He looked undecided, at war with himself, straining against something I couldn’t see. “Roscoe?” I whispered. Roscoe closed his eyes, and I thought he was going to let me go, but in the next second his lips descended, capturing my mouth in a tender kiss. I moaned. I kissed him back. That’s what one does when Roscoe Winston kisses one. Moan and kiss. Repeat. Because not doing so would be a travesty. His hold on my hands slacked, his fingers seeking and threading with mine. He settled his hips between my legs, his form relaxing. The weight of him was different now, warmer somehow. At least I felt warm. I also felt cherished as his tongue sought mine, again tenderly, stroking, causing my abdomen to twist and tighten into delicious knots. He broke the kiss and a protest died on my lips as his mouth trailed down my jaw to the sensitive skin of my neck, sucking, licking, savoring me. What had felt warm and cherishing heated, and my hips tilted reflexively as he nibbled on my ear, cradling his rapidly growing erection. We both gasped as his hips rocked in an answering yet inelegant movement. It felt perfect and essential in the moment. “Oh God.” His hot breath spilled against my jaw, a ragged sigh. “What are we doing?” “I don’t know, but don’t stop.”

THE VARLET AND THE VOYEUR BY L.H. COSWAY AND PENNY REID-BLOG TOUR

The Varlet and the Voyeur, an all-new standalone in the USA Today bestselling Rugby Series from Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway is available NOW!

He kept his salacious secret for years. But soon, everyone is going to be reading about it in their morning paper…

THE VARLET (and the VOYEUR)

William Moore is a long way from home. A farm boy from Oklahoma, he’s now the most well-respected member of the Irish rugby team. But appearances are often deceptive, and Will isn’t the clean-cut, all-American good-guy everyone imagines him to be. He’s got a secret, one that will tarnish his reputation forever.

THE VOYEUR (and the VARLET)

Josey Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she’s finally get her shi…uh, act together. She’s set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there’s one teeny tiny road bump. Her living arrangements are coming to an abrupt end, leaving Josey homeless and in need of a job to pay her way through college.

THE PLAN

What he needs is a companion to keep him on the right path.

What she needs is an apartment with free rent.

Will is convinced Josey will make the perfect companion, since she’s brutally honest and basically ‘just one of the guys.’ Josey is convinced she can ensure Will doesn’t succumb to his voyeuristic proclivities by keeping a scrupulous eye on him.

Except, what happens when the varlet is tempted by the voyeur, and vice-versa?!

Perchance something very, very volatile. And vexing.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the 4th(and last) book in the USA TODAY bestselling Rugby Series.

I have always enjoyed the Rugby series from L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid. I didn't even read the blurb before I knew I wanted to read this book. While part of a series, this book is absolutely a standalone and can be enjoyed as one.

Now I must admit, this book definitely took me longer to get into than the other Rugby books. Initially, I wasn't sure I was going to like Josey. But she really grew on me...when I saw her from Will's perspective. Everything that made him fall in love with Josey made me fall in love with her. Will had me from the beginning to be honest. I thought he was a really good book boyfriend. The chemistry between them is absolutely palpable.

The plot here was unique to say the least. I wasn't sure initially how I felt about it, but in the end I liked it. I was afraid there was going to be a lot of kink shaming, so to speak, in the book and there wasn't. The writing was great. Sharp, witty, sweet and on point.

Personally, I've read all of the other books in this Rugby collection, so I loved catching up with old book friends as well. They don't overshadow our main couple, but it was certainly nice to see them again.

While this book didn't snag me right away, and I'll be honest, it was about the 20% mark that I started to get into it, I really did enjoy it overall. It was fresh and unique. These authors make a great writing duo and they truly don't disappoint. I recommend this book.

*Will*

When I saw how spotless the shared living space was, I allowed my curiosity to get the better of me and peeked my head into her bathroom, Rocky dancing around my feet as I entered the space. The counters were covered in woman-products, but the marble surface and sink were free of water spots, and the glass of the shower had been wiped clean. I glanced at Rocky. He glanced at me. Bemused, I chuckled to myself, about to turn back to the door, and that’s when I spotted it. A dildo. A big, Pyrex dildo. With ridges. In the shower. I froze, blinked, and I stared at it, my brain sluggish. Oddly, I had to remind myself to breathe. Likely because I was . . . I was— I was shocked. I shook myself, tearing my eyes from it and rubbing my chest where an odd kind of pang was spreading mild warmth up my neck. But why was I shocked? Why should I be surprised? Despite my never seeing her that way, Josey was a woman and women have needs. Don’t they? I hadn’t grown up around women—any women. My mother died when she had my youngest brother. My grandmother died before I was born. I had no sisters. We lived on a farm, way out in BFN Oklahoma. Girls—women—and their bodies were sacred lands of the unknown to us Moore boys. Unbidden—completely unbidden—an image of Josey flashed through my mind’s eye. Her full lips parted, her big eyes closed, causing her thick black lashes to catch droplets of water before they dripped over her sharp cheekbones. Her head would be lolled back as shower spray melted bubbles of slippery soap, sliding down her bare skin as they dissolved. Her legs would be parted, and maybe one hand would be braced against the wall of the shower while the other moved in a steady rhythm. Holding that huge, glass dildo. I swallowed a sudden rush of salvia and, unable to help myself, I leaned closer to the sex toy, examining it and comparing its size against my own. I was bigger. But not by much. And for some reason, this realization made me instantly hard. Crap. Of course I knew Josey was a woman, but until this moment, I’d never really thought of her that way. Not even the tampon-mountain drove the point home. Up until this point, she was someone I liked as a person, someone who made me laugh, who was smart and compassionate, someone around whom I felt completely comfortable. A good—no, a great companion. She was still all of those things, except— Except now I’ve pictured her naked.

MARRIAGE OF INCONVENIENCE BY PENNY REID-BLOG TOUR

There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson. . . and yes, she is *that* Kathleen Tyson): 1) She’s determined to make good decisions, 2) She must get married ASAP, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes. To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy.

Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity—and heart—all in one piece.

Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent—or as trustworthy—as she thought?

I love Penny Reid. Absolutely love her. Her books are smart, sexy and fun. They challenge the reader and make them think while still being full of heart. Marriage of Inconvenience was no different.

I have read all of the other Knitting in the City books prior to reading this and boy, did that make me REALLY want to read this book about Dan and Kat. The buildup has been brewing and I couldn't wait to see what would happen if/when these two characters got their own book. This book totally surpassed what I was hoping for with regards to Dan and Kat. If you haven't read the other books in this series you can absolutely still enjoy this book, but I do recommend reading the others.

Dan and Kat were such a great match for one another. I really felt for Kat and her situation-and I won't go into any more detail than that because I don't want to even remotely hint at spoiling anything. But I sympathized with her, truly. I loved her self discovery in this book-aided by Dan.

Dan...Dan the hot, dirty talking security man. I love this character. I love him so very much lol. Yes, he has a very foul mouth but there's so much more to him than that. I know it might offend some, but I felt it suited him perfectly. And I love how he loved Kat.

This is a great romance story but it's more than that at the same time. There's friendship and loyalty mixed in with the love. It's a balance the author strikes perfectly. The writing here was smart and sharp, as is always the case with this author. The pacing of the book really, really worked for these characters.

As I've said before, I've been waiting for this book-and it was absolutely worth the wait. I loved and it and highly recommend it.

Staring at his chin, because I couldn’t quite lift my eyes any higher, I cleared my throat. “Should we get ready for bed?” “Sure,” he said, his voice a rumble. Dan’s eyes were on me, I felt the weight of them. My hands came to the hem of my skirt and I hesitated, feeling winded for some reason. Sneaking a glance at him, I immediately wished I hadn’t. His gaze was watchful, but it was also unmistakably hot in a way that seemed at once both avaricious and accusatory. The vice tightened around my lungs. Kiss him! Just freaking kiss him! You want numbered steps? Fine. You kiss him- check. He kisses you back- check. Then you make out- check. Check the boxes. I licked my lips, balling my hands into fists at my sides again, preparing to follow my hasty list. But then he said, “Undress me.” My breath caught. On instinct, my eyes lifted and collided with his in much the same way our bodies had collided at the top of the stairs just moments ago. Jarring. Startling. Thrilling. This time I couldn’t look away because this time I was falling. He made no move to catch me. “What? What did you say?” His eyes narrowed, which served only to increase the intensity of his gaze from smolder to inferno. “Take my clothes off.” I stared at him, licking my lips again, and shaking my head. That wasn’t one of my steps. Lifting my chin, I moved to kiss him. He leaned to the side, evading me even as his eyes dropped to my mouth. “Take off my shirt and I’ll give you a kiss.” He’d used his naughty-secret voice. An explosion of heat erupted in my belly, and now I was hot all over. I couldn’t figure out if the heat was embarrassment or arousal or both. He didn’t give me a chance to figure it out. His hands lifted and he undid his cuffs; then they moved to the top button of his shirt. “You better take over,” he said darkly, “or else you’re not getting that kiss.”
