FOLLOW BY TESSA BAILEY - REVIEW

He wants her soul. Too bad she already sold it.

Family is everything to gambling den darling, Teresa Valentini. Blood comes first, especially before men. So when her brother lands himself in hot water, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to save him. And showing up topless in her unwitting savior’s motel room is turning out to be the furthest thing from a hardship…

Will Caruso is the bad boy of New York’s financial scene…and he just found out the very thing that drives his success is a damn lie. Now, he’s exchanged his high-stress life for the open road, no one but his Great Dane…and half a million Instagram followers to keep him company. When a mysterious beauty arrives, her secrecy prods his suspicions, even while she tempts his lust to the breaking point.

Teresa met Will under false pretenses, but the bond consuming them is real. They’re strong enough to overcome a little betrayal…aren’t they?

In the blurb for Follow, it mentions the book is "mega hot" and, while this may not be catnip to all readers, I have a definite love for Tessa Bailey's books and the dirty talking heroes she writes.

Calling Will a "dirty talker" is, well, not even close to what he really is...he takes sexy, hot, and raw conversation to the next level.  There are some incredible scenes where he is pure sex, with just his words.

And, wow, does it work well.  And, while it is sexy as hell, it never feels over the top.  Credit definitely goes to the writing talent of Tessa Bailey here, as this is where her storytelling skill comes in, she makes it to where the sexy is balanced with the emotional and you also see how his words effect Theresa as well as Will, and the things he is saying are hot for both of them.  Ms. Bailey builds on the instant attraction they feel to one another, punches up the chemistry with one heck of an interesting dinner, adds a little secrecy and distrust, and leaves the reader loving what they end up with.

As I am guessing is obvious, this title is driven both by sex and by the story.  I thought there was an excellent balance of both, especially as this is on the erotic side, and often the plot is lost in the focus on making sure the story is hot.

I also loved the dog and the element that is brought to the story as well as I thought the resolution of the story with Southpaw added both to the character development of Will and to the overall plot and development of the story.

As the blurb says, this is a mega-hot, incredibly sexy, erotic romance.  I absolutely loved it, as always with anything by this author.

I recommend this title.

UNDER HER AUTHORITY BY L.T. SHADE-VIRTUAL TOUR

Sleeping with the enemy is never a good idea, especially when she’s your boss.

UNDER HER AUTHORITY
L.T. Shade
Released Feb 14th, 2017
Totally Bound

No one tells Shane Williams what to do. His world. His rules. Which is why he ran away from home at eighteen to pursue his dream of making a name for himself outside of small-town Georgia. Ten years later, he is one of the hottest creative directors on the east coast and the majority shareholder in a digital media firm in Charlotte. Handing over the business portion of his company to his trusted friend and business partner, and keeping his true identity as the founder a secret, has its perks. But Shane is about to find out one of its flaws.

At the expense of her relationships, Rosemary Berkowitz has always done what it takes to succeed. As a female leader in an all-boys tech field, she’s tougher than nails. She may be a sweet country girl, but underneath her innocent exterior, Rose is a boss with an iron fist. She never backs down from a challenge, and when she wants something, she goes after it full force.

No matter how sexy his smile is, the attention of a tattooed bad boy is the last thing Rose wants. After a club outing with her best friend turns into steamy night with a mysterious stranger, Rose wants nothing more than to move past her one-night stand—however amazing it was—and continue to mend her broken career. Little does Rose know that fate has other things in store for her.

Reader Advisory: This book contains some scenes of public sex.

This was hot.  I figured it was going to be when there was a reader advisory...and it did not disappoint.

This book is definitely erotica.  Which is fine, and I enjoy...but is definitely something the reader should be aware of going into the book, as this is not for everyone.

Shane and Rose have chemistry.  It is fun, it makes the co-worker romance REALLY work as, hello, no one is going to be able to ignore a spark that strong for long.  I loved this about the title, as sometimes erotic novels skip the connection with the characters, the characters take a back seat to the sex.  In this one, both were fully developed...and it made it even hotter.

The secondary characters, her family, the coworkers, were all interesting and added to the narrative in a positive way and worked to allow the characters to seem like real people with lives outside of their work relationship.

There were a couple of places where I thought the narrative skipped a bit and a couple of times where the balance of the pacing seemed a little uneven, but nothing to make me unable to enjoy the story.

I recommend this book.

Lauren goes by the pen name L.T. Shade and lives in Miami, FL. She loves black coffee and sexy heroes. Not exactly in that order. Nothing makes Lauren happier than writing, or reading, about strong and capable heroines and their happily ever after’s.

When she’s not writing, she spends her time reading, overdosing on Cuban coffee, interning as a book publicist and hanging out with her amazing family and her American Cocker Spaniel, Princess Albie.

FIRST TOUCH BY LAURELIN PAIGE- REVIEW

When Emily Wayborn goes home to visit her mom while on hiatus from her hit TV show, she receives a voicemail from her former best friend, Amber. Though the two were once notorious party girls, they haven't spoken in years. Although the message might sound benign to anyone else, Amber uses a safe word that Emily recognizes, a word they always used to get out of sticky situations during their wild days. And what's more chilling than the voicemail: it turns out that Amber has gone missing.

Determined to track down her friend, Emily follows a chain of clues that lead her to the enigmatic billionaire Reeve Sallis, a hotelier known for his shady dealings and play boy reputation. Now, in order to find Amber, Emily must seduce Reeve to learn his secrets and discover the whereabouts of her friend. But as she finds herself more entangled with him, she finds she's drawn to Reeve for more than just his connection to Amber, despite her growing fear that he may be the enemy. When she's forced to choose where her loyalty lies, how will she decide between saving Amber and saving her heart?
I am still processing. And recovering. There was just something about this book. It is hard to describe without spoilers, and one of the main joys of this book is the suspense, the wondering, the not-knowing what happened. And, the brilliance is that, even when you don't know if you should trust either character, you still WANT to. I think that is what makes this work so well. You want to trust them, you like them.

Emily and Reeve. They are both so flawed, they both know this not only about themselves, but about one another.

The writing is engaging. The characters, well, you possibly aren't supposed to like them, but you do. You want to believe in them, and to trust them. You want them to tell you their secrets almost as much as you want them to tell one another.

The ending. The. Ending. OMG There is nothing that can be said that is not a spoiler. But this is one of those books that you finish and the FIRST thing you want to do is talk to someone else who has read it.

Go read it.
