We first met Danny and Rose in the Brit and James and Beau in The Enigma...and now we get to see them working together in order to defeat their common enemy...even if this means Danny has to come back from the dead (a turn of events that leaves Rose less than happy) in order to assist James with finally tracking down their common nemesis, The Bear.

This is a dark mafia romance, and it's absolute perfection. The grittier moments are balanced by the obvious relationships each of them have with their romantic partners and the grudging...frenemy I think is the best way to put it...sort of friendship they have with one another.

I loved the evolution of this. I have been excited to read this one since I finished The Enigma and I can't wait to read the 4th in the series, as I am really thrilled to be getting more of all of these characters.

This book is definitely not a standalone. At this point, knowing the stories for all of the main characters is too important in understanding where the book is going next, and especially for understanding who some of the characters are and why they matter to the people in the story.

And I am not sure I can really say anything else, as it all feels like it's a huge spoiler for the rest of the story...so, I am going to say I enjoyed and recommend this title, and I can't wait for the next in the series.
