Why do I love books about chefs and that take place in kitchens?
I don't know, but I do and Emma and Samuel were a lot of fun.
I thought I was going to be sad to leave this author's previous series and characters behind, and, I can't lie, I am loving this new family and group so much that I am fully able to invest in these new characters.
I also really liked the little glimpses in this one that let you know that things were happening more as the story happened in the first book rather than right after it, which was different.
I enjoyed the dislike and the passion that was created by Samuel and Emma. I loved the respect they had for one another, even as they argued about the way the restaurant should be handled, as it allowed me to actually believe in the resolution of the story and it felt real as opposed to rushed to allow us to get to the ending.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.
