Taking His Shot by Kendall Ryan-Release Blitz

About the Book

She says she doesn’t date players.

She swears up and down that she’ll never handle my stick.

We’ll see about that, sweetheart.

When I win the pleasure of Harper’s company at a charity auction, I get exactly one date—one shot to win over the gorgeous and feisty brunette.

Game on. I play hard, and I love a challenge.

But just when I think I’ve finally carved out my shot . . . a huge secret implodes around us, threatening everything we’ve built.

Jordie and Harper just might be my favorite couple of all of the books in this series.

Now, don't misunderstand, I liked all of the books...but I just really enjoyed this one and this couple.

I think I liked the idea of the woman being the one who maybe didn't want the relationship. I liked how genuine they both felt as characters and I loved the evolution of their relationship...which is what a romance novel is supposed to be about...and the ones that do it well tend to stand out from others, and this one does.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I have been patiently waiting for this book and it was worth the wait. This is a standalone so if you haven't read any of the other Hot Jocks books from this Author you'll be fine-but I would also recommend those other books. This book made me laugh and tugged at my heartstrings a bit for sure.

I enjoyed getting to know more about Jordie in this book. His backstory was not what I was expecting at all. He was a little immature in spots, but it made sense. He's funny, cocky and sexy. I liked watching him grow in this book.

Harper was a tough nut for me to crack. I couldn't understand initially where her feelings were coming from. I enjoyed peeking into her career and learning what made her tick. She's stubborn and smart and I liked getting to know her better.

These two really did work well together. I believed in what initially kept them apart and I believed in them when they were together. They had good chemistry for sure.

It was fun to revisit the supporting characters in this book. It was a nice little sendoff for all of them in my opinion. The writing was strong and the pace flowed very well for me. I read this book in one sitting.

I didn't want to say goodbye to this group as I've enjoyed all of their stories. Harper and Jordie were a good ending for me though. Taking His Shot was funny and sweet and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this book.
