Wow. This one got intense, and in ways I was not expecting.

This is only my 2nd title by this author, so I am not sure if this is common for her books, but this was intense. Not in a bad way, but in a way that I wasn't expecting. There were a lot of situations that felt like they were approached directly, even if they were possibly uncomfortable for the characters (or the reader)

Maxim and Lennix's story essentially begins where it ended in the cliffhanger in the first book. And, this is where I was expecting it to be quite a ride. And, it definitely was. I knew she would make it through the events at the end of book one, because, well, it's a romance. But, I can't say I was expecting it to go the way it did.

And, that covers how I felt about the rest of the book.

I also loved the ending, the way that all of the things aren't settled. I am sure there may be people who want a more neat and tidy ending, but I thought this was absolutely perfect.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
