I was not expecting this to be a prequel...however, that is exactly what it is and it seems like we are going to be getting the rest of their story in the new series...and, I admit I am glad about that as I wanted more of them.
Joslyn and Kynan have an immediate attraction...and, it's a lot of fun watching them fight it, partly because she is so young. And, while she is young, she knows what she wants and she is mature...and willing to stand up to some of the people in her life who want her success above her happiness.
As this is really a prequel, a lot of the time was spent building the events of the next book, but this was still enjoyable.
I enjoyed this title, I recommend it, and I am looking forward to the next one.
