DIRTY DIX BY MONICA JAMES-REVIEW

I knew she was bad news when she walked into my office, but I just couldn’t help myself…

Filthy, sexy and full of surprises, Juliet is so hot she has me on fire. I’ve met my match and I can’t help going back for more.

Then there’s Madison… she’s sweet, funny and awakens in me a fierce need to protect her.

But I don’t do relationships. I don’t usually do the same woman twice.

Juliet and Madison: Two very different women have got me completely hooked.

Who will I choose?

I know who I should choose, but I never said I was the hero of this story, or even the good guy. And besides, who wants to be good, when it feels so good being bad?

My tale isn’t for the faint-hearted. If you’re game, strap yourself in and expect the unexpected. But don’t say I didn’t warn you…

Achingly sexy and highly addictive, Dirty Dix, the first in the Hard Love Romance series, will have you hooked. Wicked Dix coming soon…

So, wow.

I am at a bit of a loss as to what to say. Not because I have nothing to say, but because I have too much and all of it is probably full of spoilers. And, I would hate to ruin this book for the next person.

Dixon is so compelling, so complex and interesting. He is multi-faceted, who he is with his friends, as a doctor, and as a man all blend together as one, but are also distinct and the writing is so good that he can be all 3 in one without it seeming off.

Madison is also complex and she draws you in with an interesting mix of complete innocence and yet an intensity that rivals his.

Neither surprise, the revelation of what happened to her in her past or the secret on which the first book ends (what a cliffhanger that was) are big surprises. Possibly it is a bigger surprise that Dixon never put it together himself, although I am not sure he ever gave it much thought.

The book is hot, the scene in his car after they have been caught in the rain was intense, you feel what they feel for one another and you understand what pulls them together.

This book has a lot of what some call "triggers" as Madison and Dixon each spend time with other people in the book, but to me that is what made it stronger. His internal dialog when he realizes that he picked wrong, that if when he had a chance he had picked the relationship than the easier sex just pulled at my heart.

At times, I wanted to smack Dixon over the head with my Kindle, at other times, I wanted to hug him and tell him it would be ok. Same for Madison...she knows what she has in front of her, and finally allowing herself to face that fear, to chance being with Dixon was amazing.

If this was Dixon being dirty, I can't wait for him to be wicked. Oh my, is that going to be fun.
