Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby - ARC Review

A new comedy from the USA Today bestselling duo!

Mac

A good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.

I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.

Meg

Hey, it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.

Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.

Even him.

Warning: may cause unrestrained giggling in public. Contains: a bridezilla with a turkey leg, a flash mob, and a growly hero.

Disarm by Karina Halle - ARC Review & Author Q&A

Set in a glittering world of wealth and prestige, New York Times bestselling author Karina Halle’s The Dumonts follows the lives and loves of three siblings who’ve inherited a dynasty—and a world of trouble. Olivier, Renaud, and Seraphine Dumont grew up in Europe’s high society, surrounded by the best money could buy. But when their father unexpectedly—and suspiciously—passes away, they’re suddenly in control of a vast fortune that others would kill for. Fueled by new romances, the siblings confront emerging family secrets in a seductive series about power, money, glamour, and revenge.

Seraphine Dumont seems to have it all: she’s gorgeous, brilliant, and part of one of France’s most illustrious dynasties. But underneath the facade, Seraphine struggles to hold it all together. Besides grieving her adoptive father’s suspicious and sudden death, she also shares a tenuous role in the family business with Blaise, her in-name-only cousin. As tumultuous as their history is, he may be the only member of the deceptive Dumont family she can trust.

Seraphine is a temptation Blaise can’t resist. The torch he’s carried for years still burns. It’s his secret—a quiet obsession just out of reach. Until his brother demands that he spy on the increasingly cagey Seraphine, whom their father considers a dispensable Dumont outlier. But the more Blaise watches her and the closer he gets, the more he sees Seraphine may have every right to be suspicious. And she could be the next one in danger—from his own family. As blood runs hot and hearts give in, Seraphine and Blaise have only each other. But can their love survive the secrets they’re about to uncover?

Ambition. Revenge. Love.
RITA® Award-winning author Kennedy Ryan delivers the gripping conclusion to the All the King’s Men Duet.
Raised to resist. Bred to fight. Survival is in my blood and surrender is never an option.
Though surrender is what Maxim Cade demanded of my body and heart, I had other plans. We were fast-burning fascination and combustible chemistry, but the man I trusted with everything was a trickster. A thief who stole my love. If what we had was a lie, why did it feel so real? The man I swore to hate will have it all, and wants me at his side. But power is a game, and we’re the pawns and players.
Facing insurmountable odds, will we win the world, or will we lose it all?

Insatiable by Melanie Harlow - ARC Review & Blog Tour

Insatiable - BT banner

“Absolute magic!”

Insatiable AMAZON

I didn’t mean to see him naked--it was an accident.
It had to be, right?
Because Noah McCormick and I have never been anything more than friends. In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never once laid a finger on me. And even though he was a cute lifeguard at 16 and a hotter-than-hell sheriff’s deputy at 34, he's always been that protective guy I could trust to keep his hands to himself. I never wanted to mess with that.
Until I walked in on him getting out of the shower and saw his hard, muscular body totally bare and dripping wet. At that moment I never wanted to mess with anything so badly in my entire life.
I should have covered my eyes. Said I was sorry. At the very least, I could have handed him a towel.
After all, I was only in town for a few days, and he was just doing me a favor by escorting me to my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t a real date.
But I didn’t apologize. And he didn’t cover up.
(Talk about a hot mess.)
After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.
He’s made it clear he’s not interested in romance. Which is fine with me because
I’ve got a plane ticket back to my real life at the end of the week.
It’s all in fun...or is it?

This book had the perfect blend of sweet and sexy, of friendship and of scorching hot romance, and of wanting to keep things the same while being ok with the idea of things changing.

I loved getting to know Noah, the reasons he was the way he was and the reasons that he was holding himself off from love and relationships.  So much of who we are, and what we believe, comes from the things we tell ourselves and not from things that make any logical sense...as Noah definitely knows.

This book was a lot more about Noah than it was Meg.  Yes, it was about them finding one another in a different way than they had in the past...but it was really more of Noah's journey.  Yes, Meg is also different than she was at the start of the story, but the bulk of it was his story.  I enjoyed it.  You really feel for him, and understand why he feels the way he does, and you also connect with him.

As always with Ms. Harlow's titles, it was well-written and had characters it was fun getting to know.  The small town vibe of this one was a little less noticeable as it was more focused on the family and the Cloverleigh Farm, but it was still there in little ways that gave this a fun atmosphere.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Insatiable - Teaser 8 AN

Sawyer?” I said in disbelief. Breaking into a huge grin, she started to run. I was still standing there in shock when she barreled into me, throwing her arms around my neck. She smelled fucking fantastic. Feminine, sweet, delectable. “What are you doing here?” I asked, trying to hug her back without getting sweat or paint on her. “I thought you didn’t get in until Thursday.” “I changed my ticket.” She let go just enough to smile up at me impishly. “I’m glad to see you too.” I laughed. “I’m glad to see you. You just surprised me is all.” “That was my plan.” She stepped back, and I figured my odor was probably repulsing her. “I stink, sorry. I went for a run earlier and I never showered. Then I painted the garage.” “I never mind the smell of sweat. It means hard work.” She brightened. “Will you run tomorrow? I’d love to go with you. “Sure. We can run tomorrow. I’m off again.” “Great! Although I’m probably way out of shape.” She made a face. “My work schedule is so crazy, I don’t run as much as I used to.” “You look great,” I told her. And it was true—she did look great. Maybe not quite as skinny as the last time I’d seen her, but the added curves looked good on her. My eyes wandered without my brain’s permission to her slightly fuller chest and rounder hips. Quickly, I attempted to look at her face again, but then my gaze lingered on her mouth. I remembered what it had looked like the other night in my fantasy as she’d wrapped her lips around my cock and moaned like it was the best thing she’d ever tasted. My dick twitched beneath my running shorts, and I cleared my throat. “You’ve got a favorite murder? Is there something I need to know?” She glanced down at her shirt and smiled. “It’s a podcast about true crime. I’m addicted.” “Never heard of it.” A sound of exasperation escaped her. “You live under a rock! I can’t believe you’re still not on social media.” “Yes, you can.” “Okay, I can, but it makes it really hard to stalk you.” I shook my head. “People like you are exactly why I don’t want to be on social media.” She hit me on the shoulder. “I’m kidding! I just want to keep up with your life. I miss you.” “So come home more often. Talk to my face.” She grinned. “I do like seeing your face. Want to go grab a beer? Maybe some food?” “Sure.”

The Fall of Legend by Meghan March - ARC Review & Release Bltiz

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand new and utterly addictive Legend trilogy.

We come from two different worlds.
I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.
I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

I can't say I have read another book in which the hero and heroine meet in quite the same way as Gabriel "Legend" and Scarlet met in this one.  In fact, I think I would remember it if I had.

I loved it.

I like books that are a little edgier, that have heroes that you maybe (or absolutely) shouldn't like.  And, Legend is definitely one of those kind of heroes that you shouldn't like.  And, Scarlet definitely shouldn't like him.

But you do.  And she does.

And, as this is the 1st in a trilogy it's hard to review without spoilers.  But, I can say that I loved a lot about it.  I loved that they were from very different worlds, that this was part of the attraction and what drew them together.

I loved the reason they were thrown together, and the sheer nerve required of him to ask anything of her after the way they met. (Really, it takes some nerve.)  And, I love how determined she is to rise to his challenge, even though it takes her a while to figure out why she wants to help him.

As the blurb is vague, I am going to say nothing else about this book...other than I loved it and I recommend it.
