Author Bio

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of ten years and six-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

HELLO STRANGER BY LISA KLEYPAS - REVIEW

A woman who defies her time

Dr. Garrett Gibson, the only female physician in England, is as daring and independent as any man—why not take her pleasures like one? Yet she has never been tempted to embark on an affair, until now. Ethan Ransom, a former detective for Scotland Yard, is as gallant as he is secretive, a rumored assassin whose true loyalties are a mystery. For one exhilarating night, they give in to their potent attraction before becoming strangers again.

A man who breaks every rule

As a Ravenel by-blow spurned by his father, Ethan has little interest in polite society, yet he is captivated by the bold and beautiful Garrett. Despite their vow to resist each other after that sublime night, she is soon drawn into his most dangerous assignment yet. When the mission goes wrong, it will take all of Garrett's skill and courage to save him. As they face the menace of a treacherous government plot, Ethan is willing to take any risk for the love of the most extraordinary woman he's ever known.

I can't seem to decide if I like historical romance...or if I don't. If I'm drawn to a simpler time, or I'm not. But what I can say is that a Lisa Kleypas historical novel always a pleasure. I think because she knows how to set a book in the past without letting it take over the story and feel like a history lesson.

I loved this book. Ethan and Garrett have a passion and a connection you just can't ignore. Yes there were parts that felt like a history lesson, but in such a perfectly balanced way, you enjoy it.

Showing up when he's needed, the whistle, never leaving her alone (even on that saddest of Tuesdays when she thought he did) and asking for her when he believed his life was ending. Their connection is obvious and palpable. It draws you in and, until they hail a hansom or travel by train, you forget it's a historical romance and just focus on the romance.

I think that's the secret, by the way, it's not whether or not it's set in London in the 1800s (although, London is such a wonderful city who can complain about that setting) or New York in 2018, it's the writing, the story, and the connection that draws you in.

I loved, also, that Garrett is loosely based on a real person. But you will have to read the author's note for those details.

This one grabs you at the beginning and doesn't let go.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

THE NAKED TRUTH BY VI KEELAND - REVIEW

From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

It was just a typical Monday.

Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client.

After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed.

Or so I thought…

Until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch.

My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance.

And that was the good part of my day.

Because the gorgeous man crouched down and looking at me like he wanted to eat me alive, was none other than my ex, Gray Westbrook.

A man who I’d only just begun to move on from.

A man who my heart despised—yet my body obviously still had other ideas about.

A man who was as charismatic and confident as he was sexy.

Somehow, I managed to make it through my presentation ignoring his intense stare.

Although it was impossible to ignore all the dirty things he whispered into my ear right after I was done.

But there was no way I was giving him another chance, especially now that he was a client
…was there?

Gray and Layla have a past.

It's a messy past, and it's one of those where you don't thin that the 2 people will ever be able to put it behind them enough to find something in the present.

However, Gray doesn't take no for an answer.  Gray is back...to make Layla say yes: to dating him, to having a relationship with him, and to giving them a second chance.

There were a couple of places in this where I thought the plot stretched what I was able to believe...but, it got back on track quickly enough that I didn't feel that I was pulled totally out of the story.

Sometimes, it's nice to read about a man who just knows what he wants, and who is determined to get it.  No second guessing of himself, even if the object of his desires is a little hesitant to give him the second chance he wants so badly.  Layla is hesitant.  Gray is determined.  I am not at all surprised they managed to make this work.  And, most important, I believed that they would actually find, and keep, their happily ever after.

I enjoyed this title and I recommend it.

WHEN WE KISS BY TIA LOUISE - ARC REVIEW & BLOG TOUR

BLURB:
Kiss me…
You’re too law-abiding for me.
What makes you say that?
That uniform. Those handcuffs.
Maybe I should put you in handcuffs.
Maybe I’d like to see you try…”
Tabby Green:
Preacher’s niece.
Website designer.
Bad Girl.
Chad Tucker:
Retired military.
Deputy sheriff.
Hero.
He’s a hot cop with a square jaw, a sexy grin, and a tight end.
I’m a bad girl, a “Jezebel”—just ask all the old biddies in town.
We’re oil and vinegar. We don’t mix.
But when we kiss…
She’s got flashing green eyes, red-velvet lips, and luscious curves in all the right places.
She’s a bad girl all right, and after what I’ve lost, I’m not looking for trouble.
But when we kiss…
Oil and vinegar DO mix,
And when they do, it’s electric.
A full-length, STAND-ALONE, opposites-attract romance about heroes, bad girls, and what happens when you stop fighting and surrender to love. NO Cheating; NO Cliffhangers!

This is my first title by Tia Louise. I am not actually sure why it took me so long to read her, and I am glad I did.

Tabby and Chad should not like one another. He's the sheriff. She's the town bad girl. The first time he sees her, she is wearing way too little to be climbing, wet, out of a pool. But, he can't stop thinking about her. Or asking her out. Or making it clear that he sees that there is more to her that what she tells people there is, and what they assume.

I think that was my favorite part of this title. There's more to her. And, she knows there is. Even though the town, and her uncle, assume that there isn't. Instead of being too angry about it, she finds a way to use it to her advantage. Chad, however, sees through this. And, in one of my favorite scenes in the book, stands up for her...but in a way that is just subtle enough, he makes it clear that he feels there is nothing wrong with Tabby...just the way she is.

The writing was strong, and the chemistry between the characters was incredibly compelling. I enjoyed watching them fight, and make up, and everything in between.

I recommend this title, and I am looking forward to the next one by this author.

FALL BY KRISTEN CALLIHAN-COVER REVEAL

The first time I met Jax Blackwood things went a little sideways. In my defense, I didn’t know he was Jax Blackwood—who expects a legendary rock star to be shopping for groceries? More importantly, a blizzard was coming and he was about to grab the last carton of mint-chocolate chip. Still, I might have walked away, but then he smugly dared me to try and take the coveted ice cream. So I kissed him. And distracted that mint-chip right out of his hands. Okay, it was a dirty move, but desperate times and all that. Besides, I never expected he’d be my new neighbor. An annoying neighbor who takes great pleasure in reminding me that I owe him ice cream but would happily accept more kisses as payment. An irresistible neighbor who keeps me up while playing guitar naked–spectacularly naked–in his living room. Clearly, avoidance is key. Except nothing about Jax is easy to ignore—not the way he makes me laugh, or that his particular brand of darkness matches mine, or how one look from him melts me faster than butter under a hot sun. Neither of us believes in love or forever. Yet we’re quickly becoming each other’s addiction. But we could be more. We could be everything. All we have to do is trust enough to fall.
