DIRTY, RICH ONE NIGHT STAND BY LISA RENEE JONES-BLOG TOUR

Lisa Renee Jones is back with a sexy, stunning STANDALONE: DIRTY RICH ONE NIGHT STAND!

DIRTY, RICH ONE NIGHT STAND

That's all it was supposed to be. Her. Him. Pleasure. And then a fast goodbye. He's a stranger. And yet, he's not. She knows him even though he doesn’t know her.

He's the powerful attorney, now world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century which was publicized across the country. And I'm one of the reporters that sat in his courtroom.

I watched him, studied him, got to know him from afar which isn't hard since I know his exact brand of confidence, arrogance, and wealth.

I know his type. I've dated his type. Which is why when I happen to come face to face with him, when sparks fly and heat simmers between us, I know what happens if I say "yes" to Reese Summer.

I know he'll taste like sin and sex, even before he kisses me.

I know he'll feel like pleasure and passion, even before he touches me.

I know he'll demand more than I wants to give, and yet, because I dare to give myself to him, the result will be deliciously hot.

I know that I will not leave his bed without being utterly, completely sated.

And I know that I will leave the next morning anyway.

And so, I do.

And so, he follows.

And as chase begins my question becomes: Is Reese Summer THE one or is he really just a dirty, arrogant lie that should have stayed a one night stand?

Sometimes, the best books start out just like this one. With 2 characters who don't like one another, but who can't deny the attraction between them, even if neither of them is interested in more than a "one and done".

Or so they think.

Reese and Cat are an attorney and a reporter, both working on the same case, so it is a conflict if interest for her to become involved with him, and this sets up the push and pull of the attraction that they have to deny, and not act on, even though they don't want to.

Lisa Renee Jones writes amazing "I hate you but I still want you" books. The chemistry, the tension, the attraction and the development of the relationship are perfect.

I love that the reasons they can't pursue the "one and done" goes on long enough that by the time they are finally together, there is a lot more to the relationship than just the immediate, and intense, sexual attraction.

I loved how ethical they both are, and how that becomes an issue in them staying together. I love how the author deals with this, and follows through with the characters to not only their happily ever after but to a conclusion that also preserves their professional integrity.

I really enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.

“You’re as perfect as I knew you would be,” he says, his voice managing to be both sandpaper and silk on my nerve endings, as he adds, “and almost as naked as I want you to be.”

The idea that he has wanted me as much as I have wanted him does funny things to my stomach, but more so, delivers an unexpected wave of illogical vulnerability. This is sex. The end. I don’t want or need to feel anything more. I want and need him naked and fucking me now, fast, hard. That’s safe. Desperate to find that safe place, to shift the control from him to me, I push to my toes, my breasts molding to his chest, and press my lips to his lips. They are warm, and he is hard everywhere I am soft.

And his response to my kiss, the answering moan I am rewarded with, is white-hot fire in my blood that he ignites further with a deep, sizzling stroke of his tongue. He slants his mouth over mine, deepening the connection, kissing me with a fierceness no other man ever has, but then some part of me has known from moment one that he is like no man I have ever known. Which explains why he is everything I want. And nothing about this night is what I expected, any more than this man is anything I can control.

But there is something intensely arousing about the idea of trying.

As if claiming I am reaching for the impossible, he molds me closer, his hand between my shoulder blades, his tongue playing wickedly with mine, but I meet him stroke for stroke, arching into him. He cups my ass and pulls me solidly against his erection. He wins this one. Now I am the one moaning, arching into him, and I welcome the intimate connection. I burn for the moment he will be inside me.

But I also want him to burn for this just as much as I do, and I need to touch this man. Really, really, need to touch him. My hand presses between us, and I stroke the hard line of his shaft. Reese tears his mouth from mine, pressing me hard against the pillar supporting the window again, and when his hands leave my body, when his palms press to the concrete above me again, I sense his withdrawal is about control. I was winning. I confirm that as reality when our eyes lock, and the dash of fire in his eyes is lit by one part passion and one part challenge.

“If I slide my fingers between your legs right now,” he says, “are you wet for me? Are you ready for me?”

“Why don’t you find out for yourself?” I dare him, testing him, pushing him.

THRILL OF LOVE BY MELISSA FOSTER-BLOG TOUR

Fate brings Ty and Aiyla together, but will tragedy tear them apart?

THRILL OF LOVE

The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor, MD #6
Melissa Foster
Releasing Oct 4, 2017
World Literary Press

Do you believe in fate?

World-renowned mountain climber and nature photographer Ty Braden never believed in second dates, much less heart-pounding, steal-his-breath love. But that was before a trip to Saint-Luc, where he met funny, strong, and entrancingly beautiful Aiyla Bell, a ski instructor and fellow photographer whose hopes and dreams, and love of the outdoors, aligned perfectly with his—and whose kisses alone turned him inside out.

After spending five magical days and four sweet, soulful nights falling in love, Aiyla couldn’t imagine a day without Ty. But when he asked her to go with him on his next assignment, his reputation for having women at his beck and call stopped her from upending the life she’d worked so hard to create.

Months later fate steps in when a chance encounter brings Ty and Aiyla together for a five-day wilderness event held in the Colorado Mountains. Their deep, passionate connection is stronger than ever, and Ty is bound and determined not to lose her again. But when tragedy strikes and their worlds are turned upside down, their love faces the truest test of all.

I'm a fan of Melissa Foster.  I know when I pick up her books I'm in for a sweet, sexy story.  This book was sweet, sexy and emotional.

I love a good second chance romance.  It's one of my favorite tropes.  Figuring out WHY the pair didn't work initially and seeing if they can overcome their obstacles is always enjoyable to me.  I liked watching Ty and Aiyla come back together.

I truly felt for Aiyla in this book.  She has such a battle and stays so true to herself and so strong.  She's very admirable.

Ty? Ty is exactly the kind of hero I expect from this author.  Once he's "in" the relationship, he's all in.  He was sweet, supportive and sexy.  You can't go wrong with that!

There's a connection for these two and I enjoyed seeing them work their way back to one another.  The sex between them was hot for sure but I enjoyed seeing them connect just as much outside of the bedroom.  It made them a little more realistic.

The writing in this book was good.  The story was a little predictable but it was still sweet.  This is part of a series but can be easily read as a standalone.  Overall I enjoyed the title and would recommend it.

About BURN FOR YOU (Slow Burn #1)

Available October 17th

The marriage is fake. But for a sassy chef and an arrogant billionaire, the sparks are real… Jackson “The Beast” Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick’s New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fund-raiser, Bianca can’t refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother’s medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum—money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract—and a stunning ring.

The heir to a family bourbon dynasty, Jackson knows the rumors swirling around him. The truth is even darker. Still, he needs a wife to secure his inheritance, and free-spirited, sassy Bianca would play the part beautifully. Soon, though, their simple business deal evolves into an emotional intimacy he’s built walls to avoid.

As the passion heats up between them, Bianca and Jackson struggle to define which feelings are real and which are for show. Is falling for your fake fiancé the best happy ending…or a recipe for disaster?

I'll admit it, Beauty and The Beast is my favorite fairy tale. When I saw the hero in this book had the nickname Beast I had to grin. Add in a fake relationship trope and it was a no brainer that I wanted to try this book. Overall, I did enjoy this slow burn romance.

I liked Becca. I liked her sass and her attitude. I appreciated her struggles to help her mom, and I thought the author handled that situation really well.

Jackson? Lord, I wanted to smack that man in the beginning of the book. But of course, he has his reasons. He's a truly good man, one who helps others even when he's been let down by so many in the past. That wounded vibe he gives off really works for him.

The tension between them snaps right away. I wanted Becca to smack him and him to pull her in for an epic kiss. But that's just me. These two have a slow burn-until they don't. Once their walls are down, they are done with slow and I think that worked for them. They had good banter as well, making me snort a couple of times with laughter.

The writing was good and solid. I liked that there was focus on things outside of just their relationship, as I think that helps show who their true character is, but there were times I wanted a little less outside interference and a little more of them. I did enjoy this title and look forward to seeing what this author has up her sleeve for the next Slow Burn book. I recommend this title.

When you start a book in the series "Slow Burn" you have certain expectations about the pacing of the book, and this was definitely a slow burn.

When you first meet Jackson, he is a jerk and strikes sparks off of Bianca almost instantly...and you are looking forward to them pursuing this attraction. The potential for an amazing hate f*** is there...and then it fizzles until about 60% in the book, I was non-plussed with the relationship between them and was more interested in her life, and the things she was dealing with.

I understand why the author placed the importance on the outside aspects, as they are the reason she agrees to his plan, it shifted the focus from the central characters in such a way as it lost a lot of the "burn" for me.

I also thought the pacing in the last 3rd of the book was off in comparison with the rest of the book, which also made it feel a little off...once they got together, it was full speed ahead, or at least that was how it seemed to me.

I liked the interracial aspect and I wish that this had been made a little more prominent...in New Orleans, the potential for someone who is from there to be Creole, or mixed race, is a normal thing and I wish this had been given that prevalence and normalcy in the beginning of the story and not oddly hinted at.

Overall, I did enjoy a lot of this book, and I do recommend it, even though there were parts I wanted more from.

Read an excerpt from BURN FOR YOU

This time it was me who froze in shock when our lips came together. It took him several long moments of gentle coercion with his tongue before I finally opened my mouth. When I did, it was on a soft groan that he stole when he inhaled. He was so big, and warm, and hard everywhere, except for his mouth, which was like cotton candy. I melted into it. He slid his thumb under my ear, and I shivered. His fingers pressed into my scalp. When he sank his teeth gently into my lower lip, lightning flashed through me. I fisted my hand into the scruff of his neck and pulled him closer. Suck, slide, nip, repeat, feel your pulse in all the hidden places in your body. This kiss was cashmere. It was luxuriant. It was decadent, unhurried, sweetly delicious, like stretching out on warm sand and drinking a mai tai. His scent was in my nose: pine and musk and something earthy and fresh, the way the woods smell after it rains. He made that masculine sound deep in his throat that I found weirdly thrilling and pressed his hand into the small of my back. It brought our lower bodies together and provided me with impressive evidence that Jackson Boudreaux was anything but nonsexual. “Oh,” I breathed. His laugh was soft and dark. “Yes, oh. Stop talking.” I couldn’t catch my breath, but it didn’t matter because his lips were on mine again. Little puffs of air through my nose would have to sustain me. His hand in the small of my back became the iron band of his arm around my waist. My nipples tightened. His heartbeat crashed against my chest. The kiss turned from slow and sweet to hard and hot, first melting me and then lighting me on fire. He tangled his hand into my hair, pulled the clip loose that held it all in place, and let it fall to the floor. He made that sexy, manly noise again when my hair spilled into his fingers. I fought the urge to press my hips against his, then softly moaned in relief when he did it for me, one big paw cupped under my bottom. Yes, yes, yes, thrummed my heart, aching for more. He broke away, breathing heavily. My eyes drifted open. He stared down at me with a look like he might devour me. Good thing I was in the mood to be devoured.
