TEMPTATION BY J.D. HAWKINS-RELEASE BLITZ AND BLOG TOUR

What happens when the boy you've wanted your whole life finally wants you back?

I'm used to taking what I want, being the best at what I do. During the day, I make big bucks as New York's premiere consultant. At night, I can get any girl I lay my eyes on. I thought this life was what I wanted: working hard and playing harder--with penthouse apartments, luxury cars and bottle service every weekend. After six years in the city, I know I've been living like a monster for too long. I need to get my act together. I need to find something real. I need to come home.

LA means family and a fresh start. My parents and my friends who are close enough to be siblings.

And Melina.

Melina is nerdy smart, with a challenging sense of humor and legs for miles. It's so hard to describe her...enigmatically beautiful. I’m sure there’s a word for it in French. But I know there's a naughty girl hiding behind that shy smile that I'm dying to drag out.

There was always something between us. I never forgot her laugh, never could get her off my mind. Nobody ever seemed to notice how my body would react when I was near Melina, how much more focused I became—maybe not even Melina herself. But this time it’s different.

The more time we spend together, the more I wonder if there was something there all along. After so long in the fast lane, I don't know if I can handle settling down. But seeing Melina's passion, I'm tempted beyond belief.

I have to admit it: temptation is hard to resist.

This isn't my first J.D. Hawkins book and it certainly won't be my last. Friends to lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes and I enjoyed the way this Author told that story. This was a quick read for me that I enjoyed overall.

I liked Melina. She's definitely smart and talented, she's just missing some self confidence. I think most women can relate to that.

It took me a little longer to warm up to Wyatt. I'm not sure what exactly it was about him but he just didn't click with me right away. I did grow to like him though and really do think he's a good guy.

The connection between these two characters felt very natural to me. I believed in their friendship and I believed in them as a couple. The sex was hot but their connection outside the bedroom was just as important to this book.

I thought the book was well written and the plot moved along well. I enjoyed this friends to lovers romance and would recommend it.

I'm a little torn on this one. On one hand, this is the strongest writing I've read by this author. It flows well, the story is smooth. Wyatt and Melina feel real, and like they are real people with real reactions.

Kombucha, people, isn't that bad. I like it, in fact I'm drinking some right now. It's good. Despite how it's portrayed in this book, it's good.

I loved the bits of LA that made it into the book...although their photo tour of the city CLEARLY happened on a day with no traffic. But that's ok, it worked for the story.

On the other hand, I'm just not sure I particularly liked either of them. I'm honestly not sure why, but at the end of this I just didn't feel like I'd been on a compelling ride with the characters.

I do recommend this title...and based on the other reviews, it's just me who feels this way. And that's ok.

TRICK PLAY BY MAX MONROE-BLOG TOUR

Booze, women, and brotherhood—that’s what my good friend Quinn’s bachelor party should have been.

Booze, one mysterious raven-haired woman, and an arrest—that’s what it was.

As Cam Mitchell, a New York Maverick and one of the best tight ends in the professional football league, my to-do list should be pretty simple.

Play ball.
Get laid.
Have fun.

But after one hour with a stripper named Trixie, that list of mine has shifted dramatically.

Tell Quinn to call my lawyer.
And, for the love of God, don’t get fired from the Mavericks.

I swear, I tried to make it stop there.
But one tiny thing keeps finding its way to the very top…

Find out more about the dark-haired beauty with the big blue eyes and make her mine.

Too bad it’s a hell of a lot more complicated than that.

How do you fall in love with a woman whose real name you don’t know?

Well, ladies and gentlemen…I’m about to find out.

I love sports romance. I love Max Monroe. When you put the two together I do a little happy dance-without fail. I enjoyed this story and it definitely left me with a smile on my face.

This is a hard book to review without spoiling-in my opinion. It's one you just need to go into and experience. This had sections I just didn't see coming but made total sense. I enjoyed the ride Cam and Trixie went on.

I liked Trixie and I loved Cam. I thought they had a good connection, and I really did believe in the two of them. The sex was hot, steamy and fun.

The writing was fun, the plot was not what I expected. I love the supporting characters, they were a blast. I really enjoy Max Monroe's writing style and this book was no exception. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

Cam and Trixie (not her real name) meet in a strip club, and she is a stripper.

But, a stripper isn't really a great match for a NFL player, and one who spends time on the news, in the spotlight, and in the public eye.

Try telling this to Cam. Trixie tries, and really doesn't get far, as his attraction to her is one that he doesn't want to fight.

Max Monroe either works for me, or they don't. I enjoyed this one. Although, it is a bit hard to review as there are some spoilers of some major plot points that you need to give away to really write much about this title. So, I am going to leave this as saying that I enjoyed it.

I recommend this title.
