Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby - ARC Review

A new comedy from the USA Today bestselling duo!

Mac

A good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.

I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.

Meg

Hey, it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.

Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.

Even him.

Warning: may cause unrestrained giggling in public. Contains: a bridezilla with a turkey leg, a flash mob, and a growly hero.

BOY TOY BY SARINA BOWN AND TANYA EBY-RELEASE BLITZ

A brand new romantic comedy from your favorite snort-laughing duo!

Liam

The moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was fourteen, and I'm still not over her. Problem: she still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I've learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last fifteen years. I can't wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.

Sadie

I've just survived the worst year of my life. As a single mom of twin toddlers, I don't have time for a man. I barely have time to finish a thought. Who knew that Liam McAllister would grow up to be so devastating? He's everything my husband was not: tall, built, and willing to have a tea party with my girls.

I can't possibly get involved with him. He's too young for me. Too handsome. But he's so persuasive...

I can't lie. I hate the name Liam in books. It's a personal thing, and we all have names that don't work for us, for whatever reason. So, for me to want to read it, to be willing to ignore the name, and to enjoy it in spite of the name...well, it's got to be one heck of a book.

And, this one was exactly that. One heck of a book.

Liam and Sadie have an age difference. One that bothers Sadie and is absolutely no big deal to Liam. He is attracted to Sadie, doesn't care how old she is, how much baggage she brings to the relationship. He just wants her.

Sadie has doubts. She thinks Liam is too young, and she is not sure of the direction he is taking in his life, thinking that maybe he isn't mature enough to be with her in a long term relationship. Little does she know, there is a lot more to him than she initially sees and before long, her boy toy is turning into something a lot more.

I loved that the revelations about who Liam is are mixed for the reader. Some of it we know, some you find out with Sadie, allowing you to like him, but still be on the journey with Sadie as she realizes that her preconceived notions just might keep her from the perfect, love of her life.

The chemistry is scorching, and that matters, as it's what finally allows Sadie to at least have a fling with Liam, and you have to be willing to believe that she would get over her reasons for not being with him before you believe she is willing to give him a chance.

Even if his name is Liam. (Kidding)

I enjoyed this book, and I recommend it.
