Sinner's Game by J. Kenner - ARC Review & Release Blitz

Sinner's Game by J. Kenner is now live!

What's more dangerous--a killer attraction that breaks all the rules, or the true killer who's closing in?

Security consultant Ronan Thorne might be sex on a stick, but that doesn't mean I should want him. After all, I'm Brandy Bradshaw, the Girl With the Worst Luck With Men. As for that one kiss we shared? That was nothing but a drunken mistake between friends. I know perfectly well that Ronan's not a relationship guy. He's got dark edges and dangerous secrets and so many scars.

But when I find my landlord dead in my living room, shot with a single bullet to the head, Ronan's the man I cling to. I feel safe in his arms, and he has the skills to figure out what's happening.

Except what he learns is that a case of mistaken identity has made me the next target.

Now we're on the run together, but I'm not prepared for the heat that flares between us, or the tantalizing things he does to my body when we give in to temptation. He soothes my fear by showing me a different type of danger, sensuous and wild. It's miraculous and wonderful, but terrifying, too. Because as soon as we catch the killer, I'm afraid Ronan will leave. And when he does, I know my heart will shatter.

From the New York Times bestselling author who brought you Damien Stark comes a sexy and suspenseful romance between a woman in jeopardy and the reluctant hero determined to save the girl but not lose his heart.

Pretty Little Player by J. Kenner - Release Blitz

Pretty Little Player RB banner.jpg

PLP-full wrap-promo use only.jpg

Bedroom games are fine … but I need a woman who won’t play with my heart.

After years in the military, I’ve faced down a lot of things, and there’s not much I shy away from. Except relationships. Because when you catch your wife in bed with another man, that tends to sour even the most hardened man against women.

When I was hired to keep surveillance on a woman with a checkered past, I went into the job anticipating the worst. But what I found was a woman who turned my head. Who made my blood heat and my body burn. A woman who made me feel alive again.

A woman who was nothing like what I expected, but everything I wanted. A woman who, it turned out, needed my protection. And wanted my touch.

And as the world fell out from under us, and everything I thought I knew shifted, there was only one reality I could hold onto—that the more I got to know her, the more I wanted her.

But if I’m going to make her mine, I’ll have to not only keep her safe, I’ll have to prove to her that I’ve conquered my own fears and doubts. That I’m done looking into the past, and that all I want is a future—with her.

PLEASE ME BY J. KENNER-REVIEW AND EXCERPT TOUR

From New York Times Bestselling author J. Kenner comes PLEASE ME, a new novella in her Stark Ever After Series, brought to you by 1,001 Dark Nights! Be sure to grab your copy today!

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author J. Kenner comes a new story in her Stark Ever After series…

Each day with Damien is a miracle, each moment with our children a gift. And yet I cannot escape the growing sense that a storm is gathering, threatening to pull me away, to rip us apart. To drag me down, once again, into a darkness to which I swore never to return.
I have to fight it—I know that. And I am waging the battle with of all my heart. But it is Damien who is my strength, and we both know that the only way to push away the darkness is for him to fold me in his arms and claim me completely. And for me to surrender myself, once again, to the fire that burns between us.

I always enjoy sneak peeks into the lives of Damien and Nikki Stark. If you haven't read any of the Stark books, I wouldn't recommend just jumping in with this book. I enjoyed this short glimpse into their lives.

I like Nikki and Damien; I always have. I like their journey and how they've gotten to where they are. I love their chemistry and connection. It's unbreakable. Does it get tested? Absolutely. But they fight for each other in ways that only they can.

This was a steamy little novella in spots, which with these characters and this author I've come to expect. I fanned myself more than once for sure!

I thought this plot moved well, even if I did think it was a little predictable in spots. The writing was tight and the characters, and their reactions/actions, were believable. I did truly enjoy getting a glimpse back into Nikki and Damien's lives. I would recommend this book.

LIGHT MY FIRE BY J. KENNER-RELEASE BLITZ

Light My Fire, an all-new sexy standalone by #1 New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner, is LIVE!

I don’t do relationships.

I’ve lived my life hiding my scars, revealing myself only the in the scripts I write and the characters I voice.

Few people know the real me. I’m too careful. Too afraid of getting burned all over again.

Enter Beverly Martin. A movie star. A woman so beautiful and caring she makes my heart ache. She says she wants me—and her touch almost makes me believe that a girl like her could love a man like me.

But being with her would mean letting the spotlight of fame shine on me, too. And I’m not sure I can do that—even if walking away means losing the woman I love.

**Light My Fire is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.

Each book in the series is a STANDALONE novel with NO cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA!

I've been looking forward to Griffin's story for quite some time now, having met him in other Man of the Month books. These books are absolutely all standalones and can be enjoyed as such, but I've enjoyed the series as a whole as well.

I liked the way the story developed between Griffin and Beverly. It didn't seem as rushed to me as some other book couples, and I believed in the way they came together. I appreciated how Beverly stood her ground with Griffin and wasn't willing to settle when she knew they could be so much more.

I will say I got a bit frustrated with Griffin at one point in the book. I didn't believe his choice and reaction, but I got over it fairly quickly.

The writing here was sharp and on point. I enjoyed learning more about Griffin and Beverly and watching their relationship develop. The Man of the Month books are quick reads for sure, and I definitely read this in one sitting. I would recommend this book.

IN TOO DEEP BY J. KENNER-RELEASE BLITZ

In Too Deep, an all-new sexy standalone by #1 New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner, is LIVE!

About The Book

Hannah Donovan is not my type.

Intellectual and career-focused, she’s a lawyer, and an intimidatingly beautiful one, at that. I’d rather pump iron than open a book, and the only reason I’d go to court would be for a traffic ticket.

She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. So how can I turn down her plea that I pretend to be her fiancé for one weekend?

But I never expected our pretend kisses to feel so real … or for it to lead to a wild night in bed that will forever stand out as the highlight of my sex life.

Our performance convinces everyone, but it was never meant to be more than a fantasy. A short term gig before reality sets back in.

I can’t imagine ever being good enough for her, but I’m hooked. And now I’m determined to do whatever it takes to make this fake engagement real.

**In Too Deep is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.

Each time a new Man of the Month book pops up on my kindle I immediately download it and begin reading. I know I'm going to get a quick escape into this fun little world that J. Kenner has created. Now, each book can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I do recommend the series overall as well.

I really liked Matthew. I thought he was a fun book boyfriend. He's smart-even if he doesn't think so-sexy and sweet. I really liked watching him fall for Hannah throughout the book.

Hannah was a bit tougher for me. There was one thing I thought just didn't add up for her and it was in the back of my mind for most of the book. I won't spoil anything, and I did adjust to it, but it just didn't feel like it made sense character wise at the time. I was happy with her in the end.

There's definitely an attraction between these characters and I absolutely thought my kindle was going to melt from their sexy times. They made a fake relationship believable because that attraction was already there. They clicked outside of the bedroom as well, which is just as important.

The writing here was smart and conveyed a lot in a short time span. I think the pacing worked well. I enjoyed this installment of the Man of the Month series and I look forward to the next book. This was a quick read for sure and one I recommend.

Hannah needs an acceptable husband and Matthew is, well, available as he is the brother of a friend.

And, for some reason, I never really believed in the Happily Ever After ending for them. Do I think there was an attraction? I do. Do I think they will be together for the long run? No. They are too different, the connection outside of the "fake relationship" just never felt tangible to me.

I think, at least for me, this book and the relationship felt too quick. All of the Man of the Month books are short, and they are definitely quicker and lighter reads...but this one, while I enjoyed it, didn't catch me and engage me as well as the other titles.

I am not saying I didn't like it. I did...I just didn't love it, and I wasn't as drawn to it as to the other titles. I do recommend this, as a Happily for Now book that was an enjoyable read.

ALL NIGHT LONG BY J. KENNER-RELEASE BLITZ

I wear designer suits on my body by day and gorgeous women on my arm at night. Some might call me arrogant, with my chiseled jaw and my dark blue eyes. Add in my money and I can get any woman I want.

Now, I want her.

The night I spent with Selma has lived in my most erotic dreams. And ever since she swept back into my life, with her flashing eyes and delicious body, I want nothing more than to make sultry new memories.

But with an election coming up, and an office I want to fill, it isn’t the right time to get involved with a free-spirited girl with a wild streak. A girl who doesn’t abide by the rules. A girl who could get me noticed in all the wrong ways.

A girl who makes me crazy … in all the right ones.

Now I’m going to have to decide: Walk the straight and narrow? Or have the hottest, wildest affair of my life with the sexiest woman I’ve ever known?

**All Night Long is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.

Each book in the series is a STANDALONE novel with NO cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA!

I'm really enjoying these Man of the Month books from J. Kenner. I love a good second chance romance, so I had high hopes for this story. It was hot, sexy and definitely left me with a smile on my face.

All Night Long gives us the story of Easton, a respected attorney who wants to be a Judge, and Selma, a local distillery owner with a wild streak. There's an attraction there, and you can't help but feel the heat between them. I truly enjoyed watching them together, seeing them figure out what they thought they wanted from each other. They're opposites in some ways, sure, but they balance each other and ignite each other in a way other's couldn't.

Yes, this story takes place outside of the bar for the most part. But that's ok, this book stands on its own while still staying in the Man of the Month series. If you haven't read the other books I do recommend them as well, but they aren't necessary to enjoy All Night Long.

This book was fast, sexy and I did enjoy it. The writing was sharp and the pace was good. It moved a little faster for me than some of the other books in the series but that's ok. I enjoyed this book and recommend it.

Selma and Easton had a hot night, and this is important to note as, wow, does their story take off with a bang. And, well, that's pretty much meant in the literal sense. It's hot, steamy and a little compromising, all from the beginning. Easton is looking for his next big step, into politics and he needs his life perfect and arranged just so...and, Selma...well, there is absolutely nothing about her that fits into the life he has decided he wants. And, this works not only as there is an an attraction there, but because there was one years ago that neither of them have managed to forget.

This is one of the titles in the series that really don't take place much in The Fix on Sixth and, while there is a tie there (Easton works for the owner) there is also an ability to focus outside of the bar for this one. And, at this point in the series, it's a safe bet to note that I am going to like the books that are outside of the bar just a little more than I do the ones that take place in it.

I liked the 2 of them together. Do I think he gave up his dreams a little quickly? probably...but oh well, women who break into hot tubs tend to cause that....

I enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.

Nolan Wood checked his watch as he glanced around the house. Shelby’s house. Or it had started out that way anyway. Now it was his, too. Just as much as she was his.

With a shake of his head, he realized he was smiling. Not that he wasn’t usually—on the whole, he was a pretty laid-back, happy kinda guy. But since he met Shel, it took a rock solid effort to wipe the smile off his face. His Shelby. His paradox. The buttoned-up woman who’d let a loose cannon like him into her life—and in the process had changed him completely.

They’d been together for months now, but he’d known right away that she was special. And that feeling just kept getting stronger, until sometimes when he was around her he thought he might burst if he couldn’t release the pressure.

Then again, that’s one reason why he loved his radio show; that was one hell of a pressure release, after all.

Although it wasn’t quite as good as sex…

The thought seemed to shove him around, and he turned to face the suitcase he’d left by the door. For a second, he frowned. Afraid that maybe he was doing this all wrong.

But it was too late now. He’d already made his decision, his plans, and he was diving in.

He pulled the old-fashioned tape recorder out of his backpack. He’d thought it had a fun vintage flair when he’d found it in the station’s dusty storeroom along with a pack of unused cassettes. He’d snagged the device and the tapes, then recorded the message. Now, he put the cued-up cassette into the recorder, checked that the batteries were good, and added a Post-it note to the top. He left the whole thing on her coffee table. All things considered, much better than a printed note.

Then he drew in a nervous breath, grabbed his suitcase, and gave the inside of the house one last, long look.

This was it, he thought as he headed for the door. For better or for worse, everything was about to change.
