In years past, I let the marketing manager handle it all. I was there if she needed me. She never

did. I expected more of the same this year, but it turns out, I get more than I bargained for. I

didn’t anticipate her. Miss Ray of Sunshine, assistant manager.

That’s how I find myself attending holiday events and attaching myself to her any way I can.

She’s trying to make me fall in love with Christmas. Instead, I’m falling in love with her.

I knew he was older, and was a grump going into the story, but there was something about Blakely and Oliver that never totally allowed me to feel invested in their story.

I think it was because there is a difference in being a grump and still being stuck on the thing that makes you grumpy and Oliver was just a little too stuck on the past.

That said, I did enjoy watching him fall for Blakely and I did enjoy watching them together, figuring out how important it was to find the happy things in life and not dwell on the sad.

While I did at times struggle to be fully invested, as the story went on, I found I was able to be more into it and more willing to believe in their happily ever after, so I can say I enjoyed and recommend this title.
