This book is exactly what you want when you read a romantic suspense, and that's actually a good thing.

Was it a little predictable? Yes, it was. But, there are also certain things that need to happen in a romance for it to work, and things that need to happen in a romantic suspense as well, and Devyn and Killian checked all of the boxes.

The story was solid, the pacing was reasonably strong although there was a lot of time spent of extra characters that felt like a little too much in some places.

That said, the connection was believable, the story was easy to follow (romantic suspense can sometimes get bogged down in the suspense plot) and the scenes with Devyn and Killian worked well.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
