Lighthouse Way by Kristen Proby - ARC Review & Release Blitz

Luna Winchester's life is firmly entrenched in the coastal town of Huckleberry Bay, Oregon. A fourth-generation lightkeeper, Luna is carrying on the Winchester tradition by tending to the lighthouse. Plus, she's decided to renovate a long-abandoned building on the property and make it a B&B, Luna's Light. Surrounded by family and her two childhood best friends, her life is full.

Wolfe Conrad is in hiding, and he's come to Huckleberry Bay to heal. A career-ending accident on the track nearly took his life, and now he seeks refuge to try and build a new one. The quaint town's slow pace rattles the man whose first love is fast cars--and then there's the beautiful innkeeper, who rattles him in different ways.

Falling in love with Luna definitely isn't part of Wolfe's plan. Local legends that tell of unrequited love and despair? Unbelievable. But stranger things have happened, like two strangers falling in love...

Sometimes books like this one are exactly what you need. There's something about knowing, before you have read even a word, that you are going to read a big about people who love one another, communicate, and are all in from the start that just makes reading this author's books feel like curling up by a fire under a warm blanket.

Luna and Wolfe grew up together but drifted apart, Luna going to college and Wolfe becoming a race car driver (the book never really says but based on the comments he makes and his life in Europe I'm guessing he's supposed to be an F1 driver) until events of a charity race leave him in Huckleberry Bay permanently with his racing career behind him.

I love how toys is dealt with in a way that feels honest but also doesn't drag the book into one that feels like it's stuck in tragedy.

As this is the 1st book in a new series, there are the obligatory introductions to the others who will be parts of future stories, but it feels organic and doesn't pull from the focus on the main characters, so it works well and a foundation is in place for the next books.

The romance between Wolfe and Luna is perfect, it's balanced and feels authentic with moments of emotional connection that draw you in to the characters.

I'm looking forward to the next title. I enjoyed and recommend this one.
