Yes, it's Daphne and Jackson's story, but it's also the story of all 6 of them and the end of the story that covers all 3 of these books.

It's definitely darker and, maybe it's the mood I was in, but this one seems like it's the darkest of the 3, which makes sense as the evil they are fighting is the most powerful in this book. Was it too dark? Nope. Not actually possible as far as I'm concerned.

I loved Daphne and Jackson together, and I loved seeing the relationships of all 6 characters deepen. I thought the pacing and the character development was well done, for the most part. I did feel in places I wanted a tiny bit more of Daphne and Jackson, but there was enough that I felt their story had b6told by the end.

This is the 3rd book in a trilogy and, yes, you need to read the others before this one. You just do.

Once you've read the first 2, dive into this one. It's the perfect read for an October day. I enjoyed and recommend this title.
