I devoured and absolutely loved this story.

It's the perfect Halloween read and there were moments where I found myself horrified by the things happening to Lucien and Millie (because hello, some of that was AWFUL) but there were way more moments where I found myself charmed and enchanted by the story, by the women, their friends, and the entire story.

This is a paranormal story, and it treats the paranormal as normal. No one is stunned about the existence of witches (or if they are, we don't spend time with them) and in a lot of ways this reminded me of the Key Trilogy books by Nora Roberts...a close group of friends who are people, and are humans, before they are anything else.

So, I loved this book. I was enchanted by it, and I didn't want it to end. I definitely recommend this title.
