Down and Dirty by Kendall Ryan-Release Blitz

About the Book

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new stand-alone novel.

Whoops.

Last night in Vegas is a blur. There were drunken shenanigans … And now I’m waking up naked wrapped around Landon freaking Covington, my incredibly hot younger guy friend, with a wedding ring on my finger and a marriage certificate on the table next to me.

Like I said, whoops. I’m thirty. I should know better, but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?

Well, apparently not.

Because I’ve married the last alpha-male virgin on the planet. Yep, virgin. And my stubborn, oddly traditional new husband doesn’t want a divorce. He wants me.

If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series of athlete romances is perfect for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

I have to admit I was very intrigued by the premise of this story. This is a standalone, but having read other books from this author I had met this characters briefly. I truly enjoyed this story-even more than I think I was expecting to. This kept me hooked from the beginning.

I genuinely liked Landon. I felt like I understood where he was coming from in this book. He made me smile and he definitely made me sigh. He was the perfect match for Aubree, in my opinion. It took me longer to warm up to Aubree honestly. There were definitely moments I was frustrated with her, but her actions and reactions were definitely believable.

I enjoyed watching these two figure each other out. I thought the growth of their relationship was authentic. They had great chemistry between them-and it was fun to watch them figure that out as well.

This book flowed very well for me; I didn't feel that anything was rushed or forced. I enjoyed catching up with the supporting characters, but if you haven't met them in their own books, no worries. You can absolutely just jump in starting here.

I definitely liked getting to know Landon and Aubree. Landon definitely had me falling for him from the start. I read this book in one sitting and truly enjoyed it. I would recommend this title.

I can't lie, I wasn't expecting to like Landon and Aubree's story as much as I did. I think it helped that I really liked Landon, I believed him that he was sincere and that he actually felt the way he did for Aubree and about their situation, and this allowed me to connect first with him and then with her.

There was some external tension on her part, and I do think it annoyed me a little the way she handled it. But, at the same time, I can see the reasons she had for what she did so I wasn't too annoyed at her or thinking that it wouldn't work out for them because of the way she handled their relationship at the beginning. I also really liked the authenticity of the reaction to her secret from Landon. I loved that he reacted in a way that was not only real, but in proportion to the situation.

Anything else will give away some key plot points...and I hate spoilers.

I enjoyed and recommend this title, for those who have read the other books in the series and to pick this one up as a standalone.
