This Is Love by Natasha Madison-Review Blast

From the best selling series, Something So comes the spin-off series This is...

Vivienne

Never fall in love.

That was my motto, and I was sticking to it.

Having my heart broken once was enough, and I never wanted to do it again.

He was supposed to be a one-night stand, the only thing I do.

One rule shouldn’t be so hard to follow, but then I went back for seconds, then thirds.

After that, I lost count of the number of times I lost myself in his arms. When I wasn’t paying attention, my guard slipped.

Mark

They call me Private Mark for a reason - my whole life is a secret. For two yeats, we danced around each other until I got her right where I wanted her...under me.

Now that I had her, I wasn't letting her go. I thought we were on the same page. I thought we were building something great.

Boy, was I ever wrong.

I had no idea that while I was falling in love, she was trying to convince herself we were temporary.

She thought I'd walk away.

She was wrong.

Now it's time to convince her she wants us too and to show her that the crazy, wild thing we have...

This Is Love.

If you've read any of the other books in this series, you've met Vivienne. (If you haven't, what are you waiting for??!!)

You've met her joy of life, and her willingness to say and do anything. She's the friend you call who will never ever judge you. She might make everything about sex, and she might overshare, but she will never think badly of you no matter what you tell her.

Well, match her with Mark, the most private guy on the team (he's got a side business, and it's REALLY successful, and no one knows!) and you have a romance that's not only funny but also really touching in the understanding that for someone like Mark, with his need to be private, to let someone like Vivienne into his life, he must really love her. He wants her there, even if she means that others are going to find out a little more about him.

Real relationships allow you to be who you are, while also letting you be more. Vivienne got to learn she is good enough, even if it's in the quiet moments where it's just her, Mark and the fish. Mark got to learn that, when it's something that matters to you, it's ok if everyone knows about it.

It just takes her a little time to figure this out. But the ride as she does is a lot of fun. It has some things you expect, some things you don't. It has it's wonderful swoony moments, and really hot sex.

And it has a fish. And, that fish joke storyline was hilarious and, credit to Ms. Madison, went on so much longer than I thought was possible...while remaining funny. But, also so telling about Vivienne, who she is and why, that the fish was so much more than just a fish.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I'm not going to lie, I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on this book. I've become addicted to Natasha Madison's This Is series (ok, and the Something So series...)and couldn't wait for Vivienne to get a chance to tell her story. This book lived up to everything I was hoping for. It was funny, sexy and subtly sweet. I absolutely adored it.

Now, I mentioned above that this book is part of a series. That being said, it can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone! If you haven't read any of the previous books in this world, you can jump in here...but trust me, you'll WANT to read them all!

Vivienne is a fiercely independent woman. I admire that about her. She's loyal and loving and flat out hilarious-often without trying to be. She's also very private about certain aspects of her life, which I can understand and appreciate. She's someone I would want on my side and would absolutely be friends with.

Mark...Private Mark. He intrigued the heck out of me since he's SO private. I loved every glimpse into his head, figuring out who he was. I loved watching him woo Vivienne without her even realizing she was truly being wooed. He's strong and sexy for sure, but that underlying sweet heart just did me in.

These two together just had a great slow burn. You can feel the attraction and chemistry just ooze between them and when they finally come together? Well, let's just say their sexy times were definitely sexy. They also had a good connection outside of the bedroom and watching them learn to let the other in was incredibly satisfying.

I loved getting glimpses here into some past characters from this Author. They don't overwhelm the story, they enhance Vivienne and Mark's journey, but as someone who has read all the other books it was fun to catch up with them again.

The pacing of this book was good and the story just flowed. I laughed out loud more than once and am sorely tempted to send my husband a fish to see his reaction. Read the book and you'll understand why.

Books like this are why I'll keep returning to this Author. This couple drew me in from the start and kept me wanting more of them. I devoured this book in one sitting. I loved it and would recommend it.

Meet the Author:

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
