Most people wouldn't think of a bad Santa case as the perfect Christmas gift. Then again, Molly Malone, office manager at Hunt Investigations, isn't most people, and she could really use a distraction from the fantasies she's been having since spending the night with her very secret crush, Lucas Knight. Nothing happened, not that Lucas knows that — but Molly just wants to enjoy being a little naughty for once...

Molly wants to move to a new position in the company, and she wants the chance to take on her own investigations...so, while fighting to keep his attraction from her under control, he's asked to help watch out for Molly, and to make sure she doesn't get into trouble.
No problem....or is it? It definitely is, as she is on to something, and it is an actual big deal, the kind of thing the investigation firm would usually take on, and not the kind of thing she should be dealing with alone, so Lucas is forced to spend even more time with Molly, to keep her safe and out of trouble. And, as often is the case, the more time they spend together, the more he falls in love.
Add in the mafia, some angry Santa's Helper Elves bent on revenge, and an attraction neither of them is able to fight, and you have an enjoyable romance.
