Jamie Owens doesn’t trust women. Especially not the rich, entitled women looking for a summer fling with a boy from the wrong side of town. But one look at Kylee Jensen in a tiny bikini, and Jamie decides that some rules are made to be broken.
Kylee is tired of being the obedient daughter, and Jamie—shirtless, in a tool belt—is the perfect opportunity to do something for herself, so she hires Blue Bay Construction to work on her cottage. Their hot summer days turn scorching until it’s revealed that Kylee has ties to Jamie’s dark past, forcing them to decide if their dreams, and their relationship, are worth fighting for.
Leveled is a steamy page turner with sizzling emotional intensity and an ending that will hammer readers’ hearts and never let go!
There are books that are exactly what they claim, and this is one of them. It was a quick, hot read.
It was also well written, with characters you like and a romantic story that was not only believable but one that you were able to engage with.
Jamie and Kylee are from 2 different worlds. A rich attorney summering in a nice house, and a construction worker with a murky past. But, the things about them that should have made them a bad fit were exactly the things that made them work.
I liked that while there was an acknowledgement of their different worlds, it wasn't the most important part of their story. They got to know, and like, one another and because of this, you feel like them ending up together makes sense, and that it is only slightly because they were a relationship that wasn't supposed to work.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.
