THE VARLET AND THE VOYEUR BY L.H. COSWAY AND PENNY REID-BLOG TOUR

The Varlet and the Voyeur, an all-new standalone in the USA Today bestselling Rugby Series from Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway is available NOW!

He kept his salacious secret for years. But soon, everyone is going to be reading about it in their morning paper…

THE VARLET (and the VOYEUR)

William Moore is a long way from home. A farm boy from Oklahoma, he’s now the most well-respected member of the Irish rugby team. But appearances are often deceptive, and Will isn’t the clean-cut, all-American good-guy everyone imagines him to be. He’s got a secret, one that will tarnish his reputation forever.

THE VOYEUR (and the VARLET)

Josey Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she’s finally get her shi…uh, act together. She’s set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there’s one teeny tiny road bump. Her living arrangements are coming to an abrupt end, leaving Josey homeless and in need of a job to pay her way through college.

THE PLAN

What he needs is a companion to keep him on the right path.

What she needs is an apartment with free rent.

Will is convinced Josey will make the perfect companion, since she’s brutally honest and basically ‘just one of the guys.’ Josey is convinced she can ensure Will doesn’t succumb to his voyeuristic proclivities by keeping a scrupulous eye on him.

Except, what happens when the varlet is tempted by the voyeur, and vice-versa?!

Perchance something very, very volatile. And vexing.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the 4th(and last) book in the USA TODAY bestselling Rugby Series.

I have always enjoyed the Rugby series from L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid. I didn't even read the blurb before I knew I wanted to read this book. While part of a series, this book is absolutely a standalone and can be enjoyed as one.

Now I must admit, this book definitely took me longer to get into than the other Rugby books. Initially, I wasn't sure I was going to like Josey. But she really grew on me...when I saw her from Will's perspective. Everything that made him fall in love with Josey made me fall in love with her. Will had me from the beginning to be honest. I thought he was a really good book boyfriend. The chemistry between them is absolutely palpable.

The plot here was unique to say the least. I wasn't sure initially how I felt about it, but in the end I liked it. I was afraid there was going to be a lot of kink shaming, so to speak, in the book and there wasn't. The writing was great. Sharp, witty, sweet and on point.

Personally, I've read all of the other books in this Rugby collection, so I loved catching up with old book friends as well. They don't overshadow our main couple, but it was certainly nice to see them again.

While this book didn't snag me right away, and I'll be honest, it was about the 20% mark that I started to get into it, I really did enjoy it overall. It was fresh and unique. These authors make a great writing duo and they truly don't disappoint. I recommend this book.

When I saw how spotless the shared living space was, I allowed my curiosity to get the better of me and peeked my head into her bathroom, Rocky dancing around my feet as I entered the space. The counters were covered in woman-products, but the marble surface and sink were free of water spots, and the glass of the shower had been wiped clean. I glanced at Rocky. He glanced at me. Bemused, I chuckled to myself, about to turn back to the door, and that’s when I spotted it. A dildo. A big, Pyrex dildo. With ridges. In the shower. I froze, blinked, and I stared at it, my brain sluggish. Oddly, I had to remind myself to breathe. Likely because I was . . . I was— I was shocked. I shook myself, tearing my eyes from it and rubbing my chest where an odd kind of pang was spreading mild warmth up my neck. But why was I shocked? Why should I be surprised? Despite my never seeing her that way, Josey was a woman and women have needs. Don’t they? I hadn’t grown up around women—any women. My mother died when she had my youngest brother. My grandmother died before I was born. I had no sisters. We lived on a farm, way out in BFN Oklahoma. Girls—women—and their bodies were sacred lands of the unknown to us Moore boys. Unbidden—completely unbidden—an image of Josey flashed through my mind’s eye. Her full lips parted, her big eyes closed, causing her thick black lashes to catch droplets of water before they dripped over her sharp cheekbones. Her head would be lolled back as shower spray melted bubbles of slippery soap, sliding down her bare skin as they dissolved. Her legs would be parted, and maybe one hand would be braced against the wall of the shower while the other moved in a steady rhythm. Holding that huge, glass dildo. I swallowed a sudden rush of salvia and, unable to help myself, I leaned closer to the sex toy, examining it and comparing its size against my own. I was bigger. But not by much. And for some reason, this realization made me instantly hard. Crap. Of course I knew Josey was a woman, but until this moment, I’d never really thought of her that way. Not even the tampon-mountain drove the point home. Up until this point, she was someone I liked as a person, someone who made me laugh, who was smart and compassionate, someone around whom I felt completely comfortable. A good—no, a great companion. She was still all of those things, except— Except now I’ve pictured her naked.

Except me.

I’m stuck crushing on my perfect boss, who has zero idea I’m even alive. I need a plan to catch his attention… and who better to teach me the tricks of seduction than Mr. Panty—Dropper himself?

The rules are simple: no strings, no stress, and definitely no feelings. But it turns out, Chase is way more than I bargained for, and as for the sparks flying between us…?

You can’t teach chemistry like this.

Soon, we’re throwing our lesson plan out the window — and our clothes right after it. We’re breaking all the rules, and my heart’s on the line, but now I’m wondering…

Must all good flings come to an end?

Find out in the hot new romance from Katie McCoy!

Chase and Kelsey are fun.

This entire book is fun, flirty and full of scorching hot chemistry. And, really, what more can you want? Well, in this case, Kelsey wants her boss. Or so she thinks. And, Chase wants her, but he is trying to be good and not act on the attraction he feels for her. Until Kelsey asks him to teach her how to be attractive, how to flirt, and how to catch the attention of the boss who barely even knows she exists as a woman...already, we can see that this is going to get messy...and that's exactly what happens.

Which works out quite well for the reader, as witnessing them try to figure out their attraction, and what to do with it, makes for a great and quick read.

Katie McCoy's books usually have a few laugh out loud moments, some scorching chemistry, and characters that you enjoy and laugh with...and at. This title doesn't disappoint and I recommend it.

GOING FOR THE HOLE BY L.P. DOVER-RELEASE BLITZ

Blurb

Grip it softly.

Stroke it smooth.

And you’ll sink right into the hole. That’s my motto both on and off the golf course. The women come in full supply everywhere I go and there are no complaints. Maybe it’s the size of my driver that gets them going.

I’m Lucas “Ace” Montgomery, professional golfer and world record holder for the longest drive in golf history. The PGA Tour has been my life, but it’s time for a break. A few relaxing weeks of drinking and golf with friends in Myrtle Beach is what I need. However, when a bright pink ball knocks me out on the course, and a blonde beauty comes to my aid, I expect to see a gallery girl, a.k.a a member of the Party Groupie Association. Trust me, those girls know how to have fun. Although, to my surprise, it’s not what I get at all.

Dr. Ashley Locke is beautiful and everything I’d want if I was ever to get serious about someone. Unfortunately, she has no interest in me whatsoever which only makes me want her more. All she wants is to get through her friend’s bachelorette weekend and go back to her life, but after injuring me on the course, I’m not letting her run away so easily. When I want something, I get it.

I’m not competing for money this time. All I want is to win her heart.

“When can I see you again?”

I shook my head. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

“I took a needle in the ass for you. Surely, that deserves more of your attention?”

Why did he always have to give me that devilish smile of his? As much as I wanted to hate it, I couldn’t.“Why are you doing this? Can’t you find someone else?”

“Of course I can, but I want you. We can have secret meetings in here if you’re still embarrassed to be seen in public with me.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m not embarrassed. You’re you, and I’m a respectable member of society.”

He burst out laughing. “Okay, I see how it is.”

“I just don’t want the publicity,” I added. “You can understand that, right? You of all people should know what it’s like not to have privacy.”

His smile faded. “You’re right, I do, but it’s my life. I can’t change who I am.” My body shivered with the intensity of his stare. “For once, I thought I’d found someone who wanted me for me and not my money or fame.”

Guilt racked my body and I sighed. “Okay, I give in. I can see you tomorrow, after I get out of the spa. Maybe we can order in room service.”

Eyes twinkling, he went over to the door and opened it. “Now that’s a plan I can get behind.”

Before I could walk out, he stood in my way, body close to mine. “I’m going to break through that ice wall of yours, sunshine. One way or another.”

I batted my eyelashes in an innocent matter. “Good luck with that.”

THE PRIZE BY VANESSA FEWINGS - ARC REVIEW

A life she never imagined...and a love she can’t deny.

Zara Leighton has risked everything to track down the elusive art thief known as Icon, only to discover him already in her arms: the billionaire tech genius—and her lover—Tobias Wilder. Zara wants to resist Tobias, to deny his fiercely sexy smile and their sizzling chemistry. But instead, she agrees to help him one more time.

Tobias will do anything to protect Zara, but he needs her for one last ultimate job: a job that will clear both their names and grant them a future together... if they can pull it off.

The danger is real. The stakes are unbelievably high. But when it comes to love, there’s only one prize that matters...

With this book, the Icon trilogy is complete.  By the end, you know all of the secrets Tobias has been keeping (well, most of them, I think it's safe to say he still has a few) and you know how Zara is gong to handle the things she discovers and the ways in which those discoveries change her world.

How do I review this without spoilers?

At this point, Zara and Tobias are in deep in the missing art, art theft and heist world...and telling you the things you discover in this book, even though you really suspect a lot of it at this point, is a spoiler.

I hate spoilers.

So, what can I say?  This book has drama, drones, man-cave dungeons, danger and an ending that delivers exactly what you want from the books.

It's not a standalone, so if you are starting at this book, go back to the beginning, you need to see where it all starts to really appreciate where it all ends up.

And, if you are like me, you will think the end is absolutely, exactly, where it should have ended up.  I recommend this book, and the entire series.

WICKED GENTLEMAN BY CHRISTY PASTORE - ARC REVIEW

Stevie

My Fairy Godmother had a wicked sense of humor, of that I was certain.

The first time I met Jackson Hart, I was on all fours with my ass in the air.

At the time of our meet not so cute, I didn’t know that the handsome man with the most captivating blue eyes was the wealthy, charismatic, and hot as sin hotelier, oh and my new boss.

Well, technically he is my boss's boss. Just skimming the company manual was maybe not the best idea.

But, I digress. Working at Hart Hotels & Spa was a temporary plan.

Now, that plan has changed. Jackson Hart not only wanted me in his bed and in his life, he wanted me working alongside him.

Some offers are too good to pass up.

Jackson

Premium scotch aged to perfection, making money before sunrise, nine holes of golf and interesting conversation. Those are the things most known about me. Toss in a leggy brunette or a stunning redhead at a society event for good measure and there’s a story to amuse the public. But, my story goes deeper—to the past that I left behind.

Sooner or later past and present collide. I never dreamed Stevie Brockman would be part of both.

Sometimes, it's great to read a book that you know you are going to enjoy, that there aren't going to be moments where you wonder what the characters are thinking, or question if you can continue with a book...and, with Ms. Pastore's books, this just never happens.

Stevie and Jackson were like a breath of fresh air.  Yes, they had their struggles, and their moments where things weren't perfect...but this book is smooth.  It starts out, you like the characters, you like the story the author is telling, and you believe in the people and the characters you are reading about...and this doesn't change.

There's not a lot of drama, but don't take that to mean this is drama free, but more that it feels as natural as the rest of the book. It felt like a story about people you really know, or meet on the streets, or overhear in a coffee shop.

And, I liked it.  It was steamy, there was a connection with the characters, and I just enjoyed this title.
