This is a spinoff of the Penn and Natalie series, but it's not necessary to have read those books.

Sam and Lark have a messy past. So, discovering that they are working together again is a surprise, and not a great one.

I love a good office romance. Toss in that they are co-workers on a political campaign and I really enjoyed this book. I liked them together and I liked that the conflict keeping them apart in the present felt authentic and the reason for the split in the past was reasonable compared to the history she has with the rest of the crew. (Don't worry, it's explained and you don't need to know what happened to understand the actions of the characters or the explanation.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
