TORRID LITTLE AFFAIR BY KENDALL RYAN-BLOG TOUR

The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And I have the perfect candidate all picked out.

My new assistant is tempting beyond belief with her curvy body and take-no-shit attitude. All those luscious curves, and a juicy ass I’m already in love with. God, the things that I would do to that ass…
But it’s the haunted look in her eyes that speaks to me. Like she’s taken just as much shit in her past as I have—maybe more. We both deserve a little fun.

Love can’t fix everything. Mind-blowing sex and a few killer orgasms, on the other hand?
I have a feeling those might do the trick.

Kendall Ryan has created a wonderful world with her Forbidden Desires books. Technically, Torrid Little Affair can be read as a standalone but I recommend starting with Dirty Little Secret to really get an introduction to this world and some of these characters. I've been waiting for Cooper's story and Kendall Ryan did not disappoint!

Corinne was such an interesting character to discover. She was strong, sassy and smart but she also had a vulnerable side that just tugged my heartstrings a bit. I was a little thrown by something with her, that I won't discuss because I hate spoilers, but I loved how the author handled it. I liked learning about her and was rooting for her from the start.

Cooper...well, I've been waiting for Cooper's story and I was not disappointed. He's sweet, charming and seductive. He's kind and caring. He's a fabulous book boyfriend. I loved seeing him fall for Corinne.

These two DO have chemistry together. They match each other quite well in my opinion. Their road isn't the easiest, but it's THEIRS and it works for them. The sexy times between them were hot for sure as well.

I can't review this without mentioning Gavin and Quinn. I needed this book after the first two in the series because I NEEDED to see the siblings interactions with one another. Personally speaking I was definitely pleased with how the author handled this!

Torrid Little Affair was a quick read for me because once I started it I didn't want to stop. I truly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next work from this author. I highly recommend this book.

First, let me start by saying that this is a standalone, but, that said, if you haven't read the first 2 books in the Forbidden Desires series, stop now and go read...as this book has some very minor spoilers on how that all works out.

Now, if you are still here, I am going to guess that you read the first 2 books...so, you know this is about Cooper, and he is working on getting over Emma...by getting someone else under him. And, he is not really being all that picky. This comes through in his automatic assumption that Corinne, his new assistant, is there to assist him in totally different ways than those covered in her employment paperwork and interview.

Once they get past that misunderstanding Cooper and Corinne decide to see if a purely "for sex" relationship will work for them, to give him the chance to get over Emma and to give Corrine the experience she feels she is lacking.

And, that is about all I can say without ruining the story. Because, from here it takes some predictable turns (it is a romance after all, so there has to be the development of the relationship, etc.) and some turns that I did not see coming. And, I am not telling what they are as that would be ruining the fun of the book.

There are some realizations by Cooper that absolutely had to happen for me to be willing to believe that he is able to move on from Emma and fall in love with someone else. I definitely believe it after reading his story. He is head over heels for Corinne and you believe it. She is it for him and watching someone like Cooper fall that totally in love with someone is a great ride.

I really enjoyed this book, and the development of the relationship with Cooper, Quinn and Gavin was also wonderful, as the 3 brothers factor into the story as much as they did in the previous books in the series, and the development of that relationship adds dimension and depth to not only the relationship Cooper has with Corinne but also gives the reader a glimpse into who Cooper is and the things that he values.

I recommend this title.
