I love Kendall Ryan and books like The Soul Mate just prove why she's a one click author for me. This story is fresh, fun, and unique. It's also sweet and has just enough heat. I loved it.

I really liked Bren. It's not often that the heroine in a story is the one with relationship issues and I'm always intrigued with what reasoning the author will use as to why they have such issues. The reason Bren shies away from relationships had me sighing in sympathy. I got her, I understood why she behaved the way she did. I liked seeing her open up to Mason and learn to trust herself along the way.

Mason? Well, I swooned hard and fast for him. I thought he was sexy and sweet. I loved his patience with Bren, I loved his stability. Even when his world is rocked he takes in stride as best as he can. Did I mention he was sexy?

I really enjoyed how the author developed the relationship between these characters. Yes, they have a spark, a connection instantly. But it's watching them figure out what they're going to do with that spark that I loved. I don't want to spoil anything by any means, but the way they decided to test the waters of their relationship fascinated me. I could never do what they decided to do, which is part of what I thought made this book really unique.

I thought this book was well paced. The writing was strong and again, I found the situation to be unique and fresh. I adored the epilogue for sure. There's humor here, there's heart. There definitely are sexy times as well and, as always, this author writes them very well. This book is the end of the Roommates series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed this book, and the premise was definitely hilarious. I didn't think the annual "lady doctor" visit could get worse...until this book. And, for the love of all that is good and holy, that was the absolute worst possible. LOL

And, I admit, I was not sure how Kendall Ryan was going to pull that off...but the way it was handed was absolutely perfect and realistic. Horrifying, and funny at the same time, but realistic.

I liked both Bren and Mason overall. I thought the insta-love was a little much at the beginning, but at the same time, I think it also probably needed to be there in the book for it to work. That said, I wanted there to be more to the getting to know one another part near the beginning, to really make the end work for me. And, while I am not saying it didn't work, the pacing made me wish some things happened in slightly different places. We end up exactly where we should at the end, and with all of the feels, so really this was a minor issue that was resolved by the end.

I liked the way they handled the "might be pregnant" part of the storyline, although getting into the details of that is too much of a spoiler so I am not going there, except to say that I liked it, I thought it was different and realistic. I am not someone that their solution would work for me, but at the same time, I could see the logic. (Just read it, you know that made you curious).

I liked how adult they were about the situation, for the most part. Yes, there were moments where they could have handled events better...but that is life in general. Not every moment is handled perfectly and, at least for me, when this also happens in a book, it makes the characters seem like real people.

Overall, I enjoyed this book...and the entire Roommates series of books. While this is part of a series, it functions completely as a standalone, and you do not need to have read all of the books in order to enjoy this one.

I recommend this title.
